NEVER knew he dissed Run DMC. :ohhh:

But still I agree with him. Everyone from the East hated him, so don't try to be friends now.

Yeah I don't think he's wrong for feeling like that but I don't recall anyone asking where he was, either. It's not like there was some big movement to include MC Hammer, as far as I seen.

People wasn't clowning him for not being a gangster, and he wasn't one anyway.

Dude went broke paying literally hundreds of people in his entourage. A few of them were willing to crash out, that's it.

People clowned him because he literally became a whore to cross over, in an era where hip-hop was fighting for mainstream acceptance. As is, not some dance/rap/pop hybrid.

EDIT:

Also he dissed RUN DMC for no reason.

Fred.
Well, reading the article, RUNDMC dissed him first. The fukk yall on.

Oh... how'd I know we were gonna get to enjoy another "MC Hammer was a victim" thread :russ:

But this is a good notation for all the internet folk who swore Hammer was being excluded back in August. Turns out he just didn't wanna come cause some nikkas dissed him back in 1991.

I misread your post and thought you meant he got clowned for his brand of rap when he was actually a gangster.

Jealousy and a pivot by Jewish record execs to push gangster rap is why they killed hammer and used if orant but hungry for fame rappers to attack him.

We needed more hammers than nwa and public enemy's.

The nikka music was and still is corny. So he's right to say him being "accepted" now is probably insincere.

Hammer has to understand he was a different style of rapper. Very different from the norm. It was inevitable that he received criticism. But a LOT of people LOVED him. I always distinguish him from Vanilla Ice although they are sometimes grouped together. Hammer was genuine. He just wasn't LL or Rakim or any of the typical rappers at the time. He wasn't a lyricist by any stretch of the imagination, but he was an elite performer. He should have performed at one of the big 50th shows.
