I got a part-time forklift job last week paying 24/hour and the hiring manager told me that they are having a hard time finding people to hire.
Hmm at 24/hr you would think different . They having a hard time at your position or others that are lower paying. Also what is the job security like....possibility for full time ?

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I miss the days when you could walk into a workplace, hand the manager your resume, talk to them for a second so both the employer and hopeful employee can see if they want to take a chance, and leave. I can say I lived through that time before everything went to online and you had to answer questionnaires & tests, and then you have two interviews for a cashier job.

I know those unemployment benefits are good, but everyone needs to at least try to get back to work.

Yep... He was actually telling me about full time if I wanted to go that route. I think he thinks my day job is some gump sh1t because he was telling me about the benefits of going full time. After peak season the FT employees start out at 21, with benefits from day 1, and a 401k... He did mention people quitting without notice but warehouses always have a high turnover rate, that's the nature of the business. Everyone isn't built to be working in a warehouse with no air. Luckily since I'm coming in the evening that won't be an issue for me.
