i don't like his music but i'm pleased for him..it's absolutely baffling, but pleased for him none the less.

i knew of Cole since i checked out his freestyle over a Dipset joint on 2dopeboyz around he time he put his first mixtape out, before he signed to Jay and i never thought he'd get this big...his music is the equivalent of crackers and a glass of tap water but his connection to his fanbase is stronger than any other of the new gen.

he'd probably be Supastition/Ken Starr status if not for being signed to Jay and Drake needing "competition"

:sas1:

Cant front I didnt think Cole would get this big. Sure he can the machine behind him but who knew the machine would even give a fukk about him to the point he'd be Top 3 mainstream with Kendrick and Drake. His come up is pretty nice even tho i don't bump him much. reformed hoes love this nikkas shyt

*fixed.

Its crazy how good J.Cole is doing. I fukked with him heavy during his WarmUp, Friday Night Lights and Cole World years, but kinda fell off his music. I'm gonna give last two studio albums a listen.

I had the opposite experience, i saw him live and it made me love the album and understand it even more with the long ass interludes between songs
I think that the music is so basic, that there's really no need for any further explanation. It drug on, and he could have performed more songs instead of giving us 3 minutes of dialog explaining why he wrote Role Modelz. Specifically stuff from Born Sinner and his Yours Truly series.

I was surprised by his success a few years ago. Not anymore. Glad I got to see him in concert several times before he blew up :win:

Sean's set was more lit, but that's because he has better songs/verses for concerts.

:scust: @ Cole performing Wet Dreams, Work Out and Crooked Smile in the same concert
Sean won :blessed:

How much $ can an artist like Cole expect to see from a sold out msg?

anywhere from a 100k to 200k after everybody paid put but before taxes.

it would be higher but rap shows are terrible to finance you wind up paying three times the insurance you do for other genre of music .
