Is this a indie album? This dropped on Maybach and Gamma whatever label that is. But 30k isn’t bad. This isn’t the early 90’s and 2000’s. Sales don’t mean anything anymore.
Rap music is going to be dead on 10 years if artists are just selling 30k. Taylor swift just sold 1 million copies the first week off of old music.

But I thought legacy acts are holding up on sales?

why does he need to drop something?

you got this weird hard on for 50, and always with the vague threats

He’s not a retired artist and is obviously scared too drop after his last flops so he’s not in it for the love of music, just like what Jay-Z said in his interview with Gayle King, he’s never gonna say he’s done making music or say he’s retired. Plus they generate the most money for the genre so why shouldn’t they drop? These newer acts aren’t enough to gain interest.

so you gonna say Jay afraid to drop too?

Lauryn hill?

LL?

Red?

some of the old heads in Rolling 200

I can go on. All the above drop random verses/songs, but have yet to grace us with an actual album and none have said they're retired either but for whatever reason you focus on 50.

The major heads don’t drop regularly, only Nas has these past few years along a few other rappers. I’m not only focusing on 50, but this thread is only made because of Ross & Meek selling 30k like that’s a failure in 2023. Some artists can’t even crack the top 100 charts. But 50 Cent made this whole sales argument during he was on top, so that will stick with him and that should be reminded about. His last album was in 2014. All of his counterparts have dropped multiple albums without focusing on sales.
