White dude didn't do anything wrong but this is a text book case of white privilege so I don't really see what there is to disagree with.

I've noticed a lot of so called black people on this site will downplay any aspect of white supremacy that doesn't directly affect them.

Nah that JBW theory shyt is real. (I had to google it myself...lol). But nah, alot of these white people get the hookup with amazing jobs like this just from a "DM". But i've asked plenty of other white photographers and videographers how they got some of these types of jobs or sideline photographer jobs in the NFL and they give you these run-around ass vague stories.

Truth is dude is white and also probably already knew somebody that knew somebody.

closed mouths don't get fed. I dm'd a recruiter on Linkedin when I was in college, and she gave me a whole private tour of the company's headquarters just because I asked. You never know what doors can be open for you if you just knock.
yup, people are people at the end of the day and if you come with a good approach anything is possible.

My homeboy I grew up DM’d Ochocinco and ended up starting and running his with cigar line (Eighty5) to this day and they are doing well

okay, that's ONE.
most of these social media "creator" jobs are going to white kids like in the OP.

nice try though.

I know a white dude that bought a camera took a few pictures for his "portfolio" and within a year he was working officially for the Kansas City Royals and later on with the Chiefs...for the longest he told me he just "sent in his portfolio" then one day i over heard him talking to another white person he knew and he finally said "my parents knew somebody". But you know "I just DM'd somebody" sounds a million times more inspirational.

Y'all gotta get out of that victim shiit. There are plenty of young black men and women who are celebrity photographers/videographers. Quavo has a young black assistant that he pays $5K/day. How did he get that gig?

A friend I went to high school with ended up being Wiz Khalifa's photographer because he met him at SXSW and asked if he could take some photos of him. He later messaged his team and ended up being his photographer on one of his tours. Obviously he had all his photo/video work posted online already.

Put in the work, set yourself up, and pounce on any opportunity you see and see what happens.
