Where did this concept of being able to be an informant as long as you are a civilian and tax paying citizen come from? I understand in theory if you aren’t in the street you should be exempt from any ramifications that come with that life but we all know that’s not how it work’s. The witness protection program was originally created for witnesses intimidated and terrorized by the KKK not organized crime, so just because you have a job that’s not going to stop a cold blooded killer from killing you because you pay your taxes. If someone shoots you, you can tell the police. It's really that simple. Not everybody is afraid of retaliation. Gangsters ain't the only ones with guns, and they might get more than they bargained for coming after someone for snitching.
