I caught a block of Rico Nasty videos on BET Jams not too long ago, and I have to say that’s 100% false. She’s more diverse as far as presentation, but variety =/= more skilled. And I couldn’t imagine (as a guy) actually nodding my head to some of her songs, specifically the beats

The hell music is that?Rico nasty also got mentioned a few times so I checked a few of her tracks, she’s kinda all over the place, the talent is there but the production and focus is lacking. She might be somwthing tho is she can get a major or solid mentor behind her
Why y’all keep putting Doja in this thread. She does a little of that Rihanna rapping but the vast majority of her work is singing.

she is really a dope artist and can rap her ass off too. Amala is one of my favorite albums this last year.
Doja's producer Yeti Beats is
with the sounds and started off producing for Aceyalone and Project Blowed several years ago, which is a polar opposite of the music he makes today. Definitely paid dues. One of the few non brehs who I'll give credit to.
Megan Thee Stallion is nice too though. She went the Tay Keith route and balanced a music career with her college pursuits, so she seems real balanced and will probably make some nice moves.

The concept album full of one minute songs wasn’t made for random skimming.
Rico is a dope artist still finding her lane/sound.
