Why would we give up all our wings to keep Jamal? That's not worth trying at all. If that shyt happens might take a 3 year leave of absence of tuning in for every game.
I think Doc is trying to keep as much as he can while making the trade happen, and he values Crawford's offense and ball handling over the rest of the guys.

But maybe I'm wrong and he'll ride with Felton as his main backcourt bench player, trade away his 2 main bench guards, leave his bench with 3 wing players instead, and take a shot on at least one of Norris Cole, Chalmers, Jarrett Jack, and/or Nate Robinson.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
It might come down to how bad they want to get rid of Melo. We might cave in when its all said and done but the Knicks are definitely at a disadvantage in this thing. We're trying to pull the dime instagram model while working at a fast food joint. :takedat:

That's also due to the no trade clause

Phil is desperate to move him Carmelo got him by the balls

Phil gonna end up settling for a straight salary dump

lol how would that even be possible ? rivers and who else could they send ?

THey need a third team.

Knicks don't want Crawford cause of his contract. 3 years 42 million on a rebuilding team makes no sense.

GOtta find a third team to take crawford but nobody gonna give up shyt for him

So that basically means you're getting Austin rivers and cap relief in exchange for melo

I get this but they're challenged offensively which is going to cost us in the post season. I like both of them but they're not the answer for us at SF like Melo would be. Plus they would still be on the team even if we get Melo. I want teams to work defensively against us in the post season for once. Make them spend some energy on the defensive end which could drain them offensively. Why are we so hung up on Melo but we've given Crawford a pass for so many years with his nonstop chucking, no defense, no drawing fouls, and-1 streetball play,no rebounding, etc. DJ still air balling free throws, Pierce can't do anything offensively or defensively, Blake is always hurt, CP3 is always hurt, etc. shyt is comical. but we frown at Melo like our sh*t doesn't stink. I digress, I'll let you cook.
Austin and Jamal are the only offense off the bench . If this were last year when we had a bunch of dudes who weren't even going to be in the league the next year and some picks to spare it wouldn't be a problem, we could keep most or our desirable players and get Melo for free basically with what the Knicks want for him. But we're gambling to get older with Melo, take away future picks, and gut our bench. I'm not excusing Jamal, but he's been 6th man in the league or at least in the conversation despite the bias for a reason. Sounds like you're trying to big up Melo and down everyone else. Obviously this ain't the universe we live in, but it's obvious Melo averaging 22 points a game on .5 or something TS% isn't going to put us over the Warriors so I don't know why you want more regular season wins for another post season disappointment. When it comes down to it if Luc is as offensively challenged as he was last year it wouldn't be a problem, but he can make shots and is a lockdown defender. The problem isn't what Melo can add it's what we're sacrificing.

He is a Melo lover first and foremost. We have been dealing with his BS for a while.

fukk the Knicks & their hoe ass fans. N*ggas did all our great players dirty. Traded away Ewing, Starks, Oakley, Mason, Spree, Marbury. N&ggas even sh*tted on Allan Houston for taking that mega deal.
