Nah that's ludicrous. Back to no playoffs for decades. Melo ain't doing shyt but bricking in the 4th. And you don't need blackout games when you're winning most of your games and sitting in the 3rd.
Breh we already know how its going to play out in the postseason with only Blake and CP3 leading the team. This team is burnt out right now. Unless I see some drastic changes in players hunger and attitude its going to be the same ole sh*t. Why do CP3 and Blake defer to Jamal Crawford late in big games or hell in any game? I don't know about you but that sh*t doesn't sit well with me. I still haven't got over the choke against Houston in the playoffs two years ago. We've been wanting a quality SF for like ten years now and we got one on the doorstep but now its:patrice: We got to put some pressure on the opposing teams defense. Yeah we get some nice wins during the reguler season but nothing to show for it come April/May. Teams coast on us cause DJ is damn near non existent on offense, Jamal and JJ's shots don't fall in the playoffs, and CP3 and Blake might be aggressive or they play passive as fukk. Melo can at least put some pressure on the other teams defense and maybe that opens up things for Blake, CP3 or DJ. Teams coast against us every postseason. There's no threat whatsoever

Clips are looking for a third team for this trade, Bill Simmons floated a 3 teamer that landed Boston, Pierce and Reddikk. What you think @KevJ

I don't give a fukk just as long as we don't end up taking back any big contracts.

I wonder if Doc would have the guts to package a deal with his son for Melo
I think both parties are fine with it.. Doc got Austin back on track basketball/career wise and got him paid beyond his wildest belief. He's done his fatherly duties. Austin, who has improved his game btw, can dead the nepotism talk and get from out of his pops shadow/make a name for himself, possibly start for the Knicks, be a building block with Porzingis, and play in NYC- Madison Square Garden. Not bad on both ends if you ask me. Plus without Austin on the team, Doc can finally get down with coaching and X's and O's. Neither guy loses imo.

No we don't. What we do without Melo we can do with him. All getting Melo is going to do is put us deeper into the hole Doc Rivers is putting us in and sacrafice our future for something we could do without. Melo ain't the missing piece to beating the Warriors, consistent play is and we're never going to get it playing under Doc. He goes before any of this, but I guess that won't happen.

Don't see it happening.. But yeah alot of this is on Doc's GM role which has been terrible. I wouldn't mind getting rid of Doc if everything falls apart again. But we got to make opposing teams work on defense and we've been dying for a quality SF since Corey Maggette :francis:

Doc isn't about the future tho.. that's the problem. He gives away first rounders like candy and would only develop his son. Just think if he gave free rains and leeway to a couple of other young dudes coming up like he did with Austin. Doc hasn't put anything around the big 3 since he came here. Maybe Reddikk but that's it. Doc is not about a rebuild, developing a core, drafting, scouting overseas, or non of that sh*t. All he is a dude that's supposed to get a high level core over the top and deep into the playoffs.. that's it. All that "the future" stuff you're talking about would have to come from a different coach and a different front office. "The future" is not in Doc's vocabulary.

Why isn't Diamond Stone with the team instead of the d-league? When Blake was out and we're down 20+ in Denver he should've been the first person in the game. Will Brice Johnson get some burn when he's healthy? Pop is starting a rookie in place of Tony Parker, and it looks like he has a bright future. What's Doc's excuse? This Melo move might be his last gasp to rewrite the ship before its over with.

Nah Doc is also a terrible coach too. And i we've had a top 6 offense sense we got CP the problem is our late game offense and defense and a lot of that is Doc's fault. He doesn't draw up plays and he keeps Jamal and Redikk in even if we don't need them. Why is he running 3 guard lineups when we need rebounding and defense to make up for the the other end? He's admitted he's been shook in the clutch and he never makes any changes or makes an effort to tell CP to be aggressive. We were no better under Vinny than under Doc. He's actually gotten lucky as a GM and gotten us a few good pieces now, but like Phil to Kerr he's not getting the best he can out of the team so what do we need him for? Again we're not going to, but if we were really serious about winning anything Doc should have been gone. We're not so cashing out on our future for Melo so he can take the big shots and we continue to lose won't make any difference. We're going to be a lottery team anyways so just enjoy the 50+ win seasons and 2nd round exits as long as you can.

:what: Huh? I never said anything about Doc building the future. In fact I said the exact opposite and said he was putting us in a hole. I dn't even know why you wrote a paragraph agreeing with me. Melo ain't changing what is wrong with the team because half the reason is Doc in the first place. The only thing Melo will change is how often we run lineups with Crawford which is a + but it isn't groundbreaking. Our overall defense will get worse and we'll still lose when we should be winning.
