This is a bunch of BS.cleveland would have to give up one of their 3 best players just to acquire Carmelo.Lebron is not looking for another star/superstar player. He's asking for more quality depth.Trading Kevin for Carmelo would hurt the Cavs rebounding and make them more of a isolation basketball team.

Man come the playoffs.. Jamal and JJ's shots won't fall for shyt which renders them worthless. Blake will have the 'deer in the headlights' 'hot potato' ball late in close big games. CP3, if he isn't injured, can't impose his will physically. There's no shots to take from DJ. Austin will show some heart but really its wide open for a Melo to join this club. I don't know about you but I'm sick of these 1st and 2nd round exists. Melo's not much on the defensive end but guess what, neither is Blake. I'll take that 40 point game in a heartbeat. We need to see something different for this team. We need an Alpha in the worst way. We get past Houston two years ago with a Melo on the squad, I know that for sure. This ain't Golden State fighting over shots. Blake and sometimes CP3 want no parts of a close game late in the 4th quarter. Only dude down to shoot the ball is Jamal Crawford and I'm sick of him. Lets get Melo.. f*ck the dumb sh*t. Its been fives years of nothing with this group
:yeshrug: Don't want to take the gamble. CP. and Blake just got to stay agressive and Doc needs to figure out but rotations. It aint like those things happen all the time...except the role players shots not falling these dudes are streaky af

That team would be a problem honestly :patrice:

I think they'd run with Favors. Favors is one of the most underrated two ways players in the game. Dude was injured but he is EXTREMELY good defensively and he's just a smart player.

He's like a Paul Milsap type. Dude does lots of important things really good and just doesn't need the ball to be useful. He's also young as hell and can grow a lot

I just heard this on Mike & Mike. Greenie said that the Knicks can't trade Melo for Blake Griffin (hypothetically) as long as Derick Rose is on the team because they both were number 1 picks and something to do with their max rookie contracts. Does anyone have any information on this rule? :patrice:

Paul has been on a stacked team for years, never got to conference finals, lost to worse teams, gave up 3-1 leads- loved

Melo has been shytty teams with no running mate for pretty much his whole career, been to the conference finals, overachieved with shyt teams- hated, fat

Theres something else goin on here with this melo hate

Cant acquire a player who has been designated a max rookie via trade(Griffin) if you already have one on your team(rose).

If you're getting a pick that far out it can't have protections on it, right to swap has to be mandatory if it's a pick 6 years from now.

True. A Melo trade should be able to demand an unprotected pick or 2 in the future. The Suns got a 2018(top 7 protected) and a 2021(unprotected) pick for an expiring Dragic contract back in 2015. Dragic publicly demanded a trade right before the deadline with only a few teams as options which killed the Suns leverage in trade talks but Suns management still got quality picks. A Melo trade should be able to demand more.

The Knicks may have to take back a bad contract like Jamal Crawford but so did Boston when they got Gerald Wallace in the Brooklyn trade. The best the Knicks can get out of the Clippers is unprotected picks several years from now and hope it becomes a Boston/Brooklyn trade situation.

If Melo actually gave a shyt about winning, he'd try to force a trade to Utah. A crunch time lineup of Hill, Hood, Heyward, Melo and Gobert would be interesting. :jbhmm:

Melo doesn't even do Utah for road games
