A lot of non-Knicks watchers in here + Melo hate equals top tier ignorance. Porzingis is garbage right now.

What y'all don't realize is Melo takes pressure off of all of his teammates. Porzingis hasn't faced the media scrutiny, lack of success and hate Melo has. And KP isn't ready for that.

He's still allowing point guards to body him in the post, is confused with where to shoot the ball, doesn't attack the basket. And yet want him to lead the team. His injuries at 7'3 are concerning so far. He's not like a Cousins or Anthony Davis or Towns. He's looking like a Aldridge, Rashers Wallace range hybrid.

I'm still excited about Hernangomez. He's a great player but needs more minutes. He doesn't have Porzingis' range but know how to use his footwork and understands his game.

Nobody think Porzingis is ready to take over the point is to rebuild around him let him take some lumps and see what it takes to be the focal point and in the meantime get a few high picks to pair with him for the future.

It beats trying the win now and do whatever it takes to make the playoffs every year approach that's failed for almost the last two decades

Even now we aren't in a win now mode, haven't ever been in a win now since he got here. It's pretty much a done deal that Rose and KP are going to be the core once Melo is gone. Knicks have found more success through their D-league and unsigned free agents than drafts.

Hardaway, Shump, Curry, Early, Ariza, Hill, Fields are all potential guys. Knicks don't pick based off of perceived talent, rather potential.

All of these guys can work one side of the ball well. And always give up on them before the potential is unlocked which is never.

I don't believe draft picks are good for us even though they are an asset. It's the Knicks formula to have a volume scorer take the blame, losses and a potential guy to turn it around.

We would be lucky to be like the Bucks, but we also need a good coaching staff too. Never happening again.

Rose?

What is Melos fascination with the clippers anyway?

Is it his friendship with Chris Paul?

Melo is such a diva :mjlol:

Where else will he go? Factoring in everything. Boston, Cleveland, and LA are the only somewhat feasible/realistic options.

He also has a house in LA.

He isn't going to Utah or Washington even if they maybe decent fits.

All jokes aside, if the Clippers got Melo; Kuzminkas, and Justin Holiday for Reddikk; Crawford, a future pick or two, and salary filler, you guys think the Clippers have a solid shot at coming out the West.

Paul
Holiday
Melo
Blake
DJ

Bench: Kuzminkas; Rivers, Speights, Felton

Maybe I'm hyping my own trade up too much, but that squad may be able to do something. They have a solid wing defender(Holiday); okay bigs, good scorers, and a good to great death lineup(Paul/Holiday/Kuz/Melo/Blake).

Clips are looking for a third team for this trade, Bill Simmons floated a 3 teamer that landed Boston, Pierce and Reddikk. What you think @KevJ

:yeshrug: Don't want to take the gamble. CP. and Blake just got to stay agressive and Doc needs to figure out but rotations. It aint like those things happen all the time...except the role players shots not falling these dudes are streaky af
Stay aggressive:dahell: They first have to BE aggressive before they can stay aggressive. And plus you have to consider that maybe one of these guys will be hurt come post season. Its almost like clockwork. Its been nothing but 1st and 2nd round exits the past five years. Get Melo and see what happens or its blow it up time. Not a major rebuild but and overhaul for sure. The defense we played at the beginning of the year was nice but I knew it wouldn't sustain year round. Whens the last time a Clipper player has even 'blacked out' in a game? Certainly not this year so far. Get Melo.. hell I trust him late in games more than Blake and CP3. Change it up

Nah that's ludicrous. Back to no playoffs for decades. Melo ain't doing shyt but bricking in the 4th. And you don't need blackout games when you're winning most of your games and sitting in the 3rd.
