Are nikkas really tryna say the Spurs wouldn't be better if they replaced Kawhi with Melo? Melo puts up numbers in the shytty Knicks offense with shytty guard play & mostly offensively inept bigs. Imagine if he got the rotations & open looks & ball movement they have in San Antonio. Imagine if he got to play with Parker, Duncan, Diaw, Ginobli, Popavich, and now Aldridge. I think the boost they'd get in offense would make up for the drop in defense. Kawhi can't command a double team.

Sort of amazing how most fans legit think there is only one side of the ball that matters. The gap between them as defenders is much larger than the gap between them as offensive players. Not even gonna add shyt like being able to buy into a team offense and Melo's penchant for doing hoe ass shyt on and off the court.

No it didnt, you tried and failed. Randy Moss was the best WR in football long before he ever put on a Pats jersey, terrible analogy.

No YOU said that he was only a champion because he played for the Spurs and I told you that's not the case and that the Spurs were slipping before adding him. He was the difference maker. I alluded the Pats because Moss was definitely the difference maker in 2007 with how that offense just took off and propelled them to the Super Bowl.

The Spurs ARE NOT title contenders with George Hill instead of Kawhi Leonard

:comeon: Word? Thats what I said? Post where i said that

I'm not saying it's he's only good because he played for the Spurs, I'm saying it is unfair to compare him and Melo without taking in to account the fact that he's enjoyed development under the best and most consistent organization in basketball. For all the grief Melo gets who is the best player he's played next to? An older AI? Billups? An over the hill Amare? Porzingas? Who is the best coach Melo had played under? Compare that with the casts and/or coaches that Bron, Wade, Chris Paul, Durant, and even Curry have played with.

Im actually a Kawhi fan but comparing him to Randy Moss in any way or form is retarded. Moss is the most talented player we've ever seen at the WR position, stop it :camby:

Here's the thing with the Melo situation.....He was on 50 win teams in Denver himself bruh. It ain't like he was always on 30 win teams prior to being on the Knicks.

While one will say "Kawhi has been able to be groomed" and I won't fault them for mentioning that, one can flip it and say that Melo has been given the keys from the jump and has shown......you really can only go but so far with him as THE MAN. Only has made it out of the 1st round twice in his 10 post season trips is hard to spin bruh.
