D&N was never a single it’s a song that blew up in the culture without being pushed as a single. It was the intro to Meek’s album. It has been played at every function from 2011 to this day. It’s a song everyone knows the words to and causes a shift in energy when played. At this point is one of the bigger anthems we’ve seen and longest lasting.
Not only that but it has inspired copy cats in its format.
Breh, I know what "Dreams & Nightmares" is and it might not be a single in the traditional sense, but they released a video for the song not long after the album dropped and I think it was used in trailers for Creed. That song was 2012, not 2011. And it being played at "every function" is null and void. People still line dance to "Wobble" and "Cupid Shuffle" at wedding receptions and barbecues and those songs inspired all kinds of copycat songs in the same format.

The best MCs from Philly like Beans, Black Thought and Freeway always had a lot of depth in their rhymes and were versatile. Meek ain’t never been a super lyrical nikka. It wasn’t meant to be a single it was the intro the word of mouth/reception of the song was so strong he took it further.
Creed didn’t come out until 2015 the song was already classic then.
Bringing up goofy dance songs and comparing it to a rags to riches anthem like D&N is just wrong. D&N is closer to a Juicy than Wobble.

Breh, to you, those are goofy dancensongs, but when those drop at a barbecue, reception hall, or just regular family functions, everybody is dancing. Your initial post regarding the song was that it got played at functions and sparked copycats. I pointed out that those songs did the same and now you're saying they are just goofy dance records.

We all know what the lyric miracle thing on the coli means.
