No one called him a c00n, we just said he was wrong. Yes economic power is needed but you don't grow that by...working 60 hours a week at dead end jobs. That's moving backwards, working too much for too little. Beyond the fact that Kevil Samuels is a closeted gay man, he also seems to have a general misunderstanding of jobs.
We've got a generation of black men who aren't going to college, aren't going into trades, and essentially aren't doing anything but side hustles and bullshyt. End result isn't gonna get pretty especially as the generation gets older. What we need is a recommitment to actual professions. Yes, the days of factory workers buying homes and taking care of their families are over but...that shyt has been over for decades, and I feel like there hasn't been a paradigm shift with us. Instead of arguing over whether college is worth it, or what the white man is/isn't doing...we should be asking
1. What are the high paying jobs
2. What are the high paying degrees
3. What are the high paying trades
If you go to college, you should have a gameplan of what you want to do BECAUSE the end result is a good job. If you don't want to go to college, you should have a gameplan of what you want to do (trades, federal jobs, etc) BECAUSE the end result is a high paying job. That's what the mindset should be, not picking an arbitrary number of hours you need to work weekly in order to still be broke.
