Well, here's the rub.....you see women are fluid when it comes to what they want especially when it comes to something casual vs something serious. Women tend to want something chill when the dude aint on top of game....but she wants to lock down the dude who she feels would be a good look.
A chick will say "I'm not looking for anything serious.....I just want to have some fun." She meets Tyrone....he works at Target and has no real prospects but he's funny and cute. She's just looking for some sex and conversation every once in awhile, so she starts messing with dude. She's content with the casual thing and keeps her distance for the most part. They hang out here and there.....no big deal.
The same chick comes across Xavier via a friend hooking them up. He's a handsome, educated brotha with a well-paying job, financially secure and has a bright future. She wants to lock him down badly because she knows he's a catch. She stops answering Tyrone's "come thru" texts and starts blowing Xavier's phone up on some "good morning" sh#t. Xavier starts hitting and she catches feelings, especially after finding out that he's dating other women. She hits him with the "well, where are things going between us.....I think we would make a great couple."
Xavier either makes her his chick or plays the sh#t out of her.
Look at it like this, if Barack Obama were single, most of the women he came across would be breaking their neck trying to lock him down. Why? Because's he's of extreme value and they know how stiff the competition is. Yes, many would do the "casual thing" with him but only as a tactic to get their foot in the door in hopes of snatching him off the market. And those same women would sleep with some dude of less value on some "I was just horny" sh#t.
So, the "why don't does just smash the chicks looking for casual sex" is kinda myopic since women will change that based how she perceives the benefit associated with the man.

I'm doing it right now and I probably shouldn't because she knows where I live. But anywho, I do it because when a girl is emotionally attached she goes out her way moreso than a simple jumpoff would.
