The fact that some dudes think they should be given all-encompassing dominance over someone else's body is astounding.

Yes, women have more of a say over child birth and whatnot. But men also don't have to go through the pains of child birth or abortion. How is it anymore logical for anyone to be given control over anyone else's body?

You logically make no sense wondering why you aren't allowed to dictate the bodily functions/procedures/medical conditions of another person's body/life. It's the equivalent of a woman who doesn't want kids, getting mad because a dude refuses to get a vasectomy at her request. Some shyt is just stupid.

the title of this thread says men should be allowed to legally opt out of being a parent. in other words if an unplanned pregnancy occurs the woman has a right to choose whether or not she will be a mother, whether or not the child will even be born. the man has a right to what?

at the bare minimum society should grant men the right to decline fatherhood just as society has granted women the right to decline motherhood.

your argument that it logically doesn't make any sense for a person to dictate another person's body and life is soundly defeated by abortion itself in which a woman can decide whether or not a child will live or die.

The argument is about choice and power. Giving a woman 100% of both while a man has none is creating a toxic situation. It creates scenarios where women intentionally try and get pregnant to trap men. I'm not arguing that a man should abandon his kid I'm not arguing that a man doesn't know sex carries the potential for farterhood I am saying that once a pregnancy is discovered the women gets a second choice on whether or not she'll keep that child. The man doesn't. She gets the ability to force him to be a father.

some of yall are basically arguing that as a man if you fukk a woman you should surrender all control to her in the event of an accident.

And if you have a problem with that then keep your dikk in your pants. Gotdamn yall cry about everything meanwhile you ignore all the benefits you get by just being. It's like yall are jealous of women.

When will you realize that you don't have a p*ssy and therefore don't control childbirth?

My argument is logical, considering that a child impedes upon the bodily functions of another and only survives off of the detriment of another person. I believe a person has the right to choose their body over someone else's any day.

Why doesn't the "if you don't want to be a parent then don't have sex" clause apply to women as well? Women that have the POWER to say no yet take NO RESPONSIBILITY!?!?!!? You guys keep overlooking that. POWER comes with RESPONSIBILITY. You can't give a woman 100% power to make decisions and the man 100% responsibility of what comes out of a woman's decisions.

Like I said... women want equality only when convenient. You see if women didn't FIGHT for the right to have an abortion then this argument wouldn't even exist. Roe vs Wade was the worst thing that women have ever fought for. Ok you want the power... ok you dumb bytches. NOW TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY that comes with it!

STOP OVERLOOKING THAT. That alone crushes your argument.

dumb nikka, if women were complaining about that, I'd say the same thing. If you have an issue with how women get to trap men or how men get to run off on their kids KEEP YA dikk IN YA PANTS/KEEP YA LEGS CLOSED. No one is forcing you to put yourself in these situations.

so you're saying its justifiable for a man in the event of an unplanned pregnancy to be stripped of all rights?

this is damn near like saying the people who died in the twin towers on 9/11 had the right to stay home and skip work they instead chose to go to work and died that day. their bad they got what they deserved.

i'm not jealous of women at all. i personally feel that men and women should be treated equally in society. i like it when an argument is made that you don't agree with or wanna hear its crying. when somebody makes an argument you do agree with is that then too crying?

Because as a MAN that has full control over his actions the "what about women" argument is weak, lacks maturity and sad.

I can't believe this dude said the government should come in an save him AFTER he makes a dumb azz decision.

Dudes are really, essentially mad that they don't have vaginas and can't make decisions about housing life. :wow:

are we talking about rights and equality in a given situation or are we getting into your personal opinion of what a man should do or shouldn't do?

there is a risk of pregnancy with sex. everyone understands that but engaging in the act of sex is not the same as consenting to parenthood. society gave women the right to choose not to be a parent in the event of an unplanned pregnancy. this is not a natural right. these are rights society bestowed upon her. these rights exist regardless of her consent to sex. if we as a society are about equality why can't society bestow a man the same right to decline parenthood?

a man has a natural right to abstain from sex for whatever reason he chooses. this isn't about that its about his legal rights and in the event of an unplanned pregnancy he has none.

It helps women... It's inconsistent.

I don't put myself in those situations. :wtf: I'm saying logically speaking if you don't have any power to choose who comes into the world then you shouldn't have 100% responsibility. It's called logic. Women control who can date them, who can sleep with them, who can marry them and ULTIMATELY whether or not a child comes into the world or not. "My body my choice!" Yeah. You have that power... so why does the man take all the responsibility?

If someone doesn't let you drive a car that you both own but crashes it why should you get blamed for crashing it when you didn't have the power to drive it in the first place?

And let's reverse it. A man could want a baby but the woman says she doesn't want to be a mother so she gets an abortion. She has the power either way.

WITH ULTIMATE POWER COMES ULTIMATE RESPONSIBILITY.

So Winb (and those who agree) if your girlfriend (whichever one you don't have) asks you to get a vasectomy, you are getting one right?

Considering that you would have sex with her, why should she allow you "control" of something she will bear the responsibility for? Considering that condoms and birth control can both fail, it's best for her to cover her bases with you getting that snip.

You down? :mjpls:

sex isn't a board game its a natural activity between a man and a woman. a woman't right at any moment post-pregnancy to choose not to be a mother are not natural they are man-made. to bestow those rights to her yet deny a man any rights at all if absurd.

this isn't about what a man should or shouldn't do. all men should raise their children. this is about giving women the right at any moment to decline parenthood yet enabling them to choose to have sex independent of that right but then telling a man if you have sex you forfeit the rights we gave her.

if one side has the right to choose the other side should have that same right. that's equality.

So if a woman asks, you're getting a vasectomy, right?
