Dude....I'm a developer as well and been making $750 a day for the past year and a half. 2 hours a day gaming is absurd, I don't give a flying F what the neckbeards here have to say.
If one has a family/kids that's damn negligence.
If you're single and your 20s that's still a stupid way to spend your time. Talking about how other people choose to waste your time doesn't make spending 2hrs a day gaming sound any better. Btw we all know you play at least 3-4 hrs. Never EVER seen a gamer that wasn't off by 1.5-2 the amount they play.
Those 2 hrs would cost me near $200. Would much rather spend my time learning some other aspect of my job so I can stay relevant and line up my next contract. It's one thing if you played that much 2-3 times a week but everyday that's just dumb.
Btw I get it, not everything has to be about productivity. My vice is weed, which I don't smoke a lot of (3-4 puffs) but I'm convinced that alone knocks out 1-2hrs a day off my productivity. Problem is I don't act like it's not a problem.
I would much rather smoke 2-3 times a week, but I can't do that as I don't have that self control, it's either smoke everyday or go cold turkey. I think a lot of gamers (like yourself) have to go cold turkey as well as yll be tweaking if you fingers aren't click clacking on keyboard.
There’s a whole culture around smoking weed but gaming culture bares the brunt of your diatribe. With all due respect, get the entire fukk out of here.
I don’t smoke and I think weed culture is retarded (don’t even ask me how). But, if that’s how people want to spend their time and money then let them. I’m not gonna shyt on them personally if that’s their “hobby”.
Video games can teach you history, improve your cognitive skills, vocabulary etc. Hell, even meet new people online and create business. The idea that it can be completely unproductive shows a myopic point of view.
Do you have the same smoke for people who simply live for the weekend to get drunk and repeat the same process for the next 10/20 years of their life?
Honestly, this and your previous post was beyond asinine. Let people have their hobbies instead of trying to justify its value using monetary metrics.
