Dude....I'm a developer as well and been making $750 a day for the past year and a half. 2 hours a day gaming is absurd, I don't give a flying F what the neckbeards here have to say.

If one has a family/kids that's damn negligence.

If you're single and your 20s that's still a stupid way to spend your time. Talking about how other people choose to waste your time doesn't make spending 2hrs a day gaming sound any better. Btw we all know you play at least 3-4 hrs. Never EVER seen a gamer that wasn't off by 1.5-2 the amount they play.

Those 2 hrs would cost me near $200. Would much rather spend my time learning some other aspect of my job so I can stay relevant and line up my next contract. It's one thing if you played that much 2-3 times a week but everyday that's just dumb.

Btw I get it, not everything has to be about productivity. My vice is weed, which I don't smoke a lot of (3-4 puffs) but I'm convinced that alone knocks out 1-2hrs a day off my productivity. Problem is I don't act like it's not a problem.

I would much rather smoke 2-3 times a week, but I can't do that as I don't have that self control, it's either smoke everyday or go cold turkey. I think a lot of gamers (like yourself) have to go cold turkey as well as yll be tweaking if you fingers aren't click clacking on keyboard.
There’s a whole culture around smoking weed but gaming culture bares the brunt of your diatribe. With all due respect, get the entire fukk out of here.

I don’t smoke and I think weed culture is retarded (don’t even ask me how). But, if that’s how people want to spend their time and money then let them. I’m not gonna shyt on them personally if that’s their “hobby”.

Video games can teach you history, improve your cognitive skills, vocabulary etc. Hell, even meet new people online and create business. The idea that it can be completely unproductive shows a myopic point of view.

Do you have the same smoke for people who simply live for the weekend to get drunk and repeat the same process for the next 10/20 years of their life?

Honestly, this and your previous post was beyond asinine. Let people have their hobbies instead of trying to justify its value using monetary metrics.

I game a minimum of 3 hours a day. I got no day job. I run a comic book business and make hundreds of thousands a year. Sometimes I buy games just to figure out WHY it had success even though I know I will not like it. Gaming has inspired me to not only create dope content but also problem solve like a muthafukka. Gamers are significantly smarter than non-gamers on average because of constant problem solving skills being used and mastered.

This. I was just saying this to myself earlier. A lot of smart people play problem-solving critical video games. Not games like nba2k GTA or madden.
Brehs, I was just thinking this. I love games like Tomb Raider that involves puzzle solving. It challenges your cognitive skills. No different than IQ tests. Action/Adenture games force you to think outside the box.

All the smart people in my college were avid gamers and it’s not a surprise. They need something to challenge them mentally and take some steam off.

My ex used to kick my ass at FPS. She was smart as fukk. I lost a good one there. :mjcry:

My financial career requires a level of IT literacy and problem solving. Playing video games helps me notice patterns if trouble shooting is required.

Probably not true universally just based on numbers but it's absolutely true for me :manny:.

I have nothing more to add to the thread.

Listen to this guy.

He spent thousands of hours playing video games and is gloating over making 15k. What's that, 0.50 cents per hour?

Now watch him come back and say it wasn't about the money. (Then don't effing bring it up!) You could've made more than that flipping burgers at a fraction of the time.

To your last point, again, don't mischaracterise what I said, gaming is not a bad habit per se, but gaming 2-3 hours everyday fking IS.

This post is retarded....He was making 5 figures off a hobby he would have done for free whilst he was in college. Who is turning that down??
He was just explaining that gaming can have monetary gain or value to someone like you who said it adds nothing to your life, that's why he brought up money.

The average person probably spends 2/3 hours a day on pointless hobbies whether that be gaming, watching sports/TV/Netflix/Social Media Etc...
I'm at a stage in my life where I am very much about self development, and I am very conscious about how I spend my time, but everyone needs leisure time breh...
