where I'm from pushing a low-end benz is always the same, either it's a chick or a limp-wrist homo. 9 times outta 10 it's a woman tho.

The CLA250 is way different. On an unblemished road, all is right. Take it out of its element—such as out on the wild remnants of Route 66 -- and the cabin sounds like all hell has broken loose. The front end is too tight, sending loud, sharp thwacks through the air where the other three broadcast softer thumps. The body control is good, even if you feel a lot of the road. We started holding our breath any time the surface took a turn for the worse, scowling until the cracks and divots disappeared. The little Merc had optional, $500 18-inch wheels. We’d like to believe the standard 17s with slightly taller-profile tires would offer enough cushioning to alter the ride, but the harshness seems more serious than a set of tires could fix.

I figured that was a given to anyone that knows about low-end Mercedes cars, which would make sense for me to bring up since you want one, but if you already knew they were shyt as far as reliability goes, it still makes me question why you'd want one. but then again I don't really care.

Yup. the current gen CLS might have all the new whatever, whatever but the first gen was the original, changed the game and started this insane "4-door coupe" trend that will never die. CLS created is its own segment and I'd love to own a first gen

Pops has the CLS55 AMG. I drive a modded 335. I thought my shyt was fast, but umm nah. And I've had fast cars before (M3, 911 Turbo, AMG Benz's, etc...), but his shyt is just.... . It goes from 100-140 as fast as it goes from 40-80. And the sound is .

exactly, car is small and "stubby" at the rear. outside of whipping the AMG model the car is a cheap piece of shyt that gets people in a Benz at a low price point so they can show off that emblem. Interior is ehh and I don't know why Mercedes (and BMW) insists on that LCD screen on the dash that looks like some aftermarket BS. Forget about getting any one in that back seat. If I had $29,990 to spend, I'd rather get a loaded Accord coupe (FWD, I know) and spend the rest on some springs, rims/tires, exhaust, clear bra, and maybe upgrade the audio

Man being this is cats ill let it slide but reading this sounds like some I rather have a playstation1 over PS4 junk. I love the cls but now it doesn't look as good IMO esp the interior compared to newer models.

Breh when it comes to a CLS 55 AMG (first gen) over this cheap ass CLA, I'm going with the CLS, which birthed all of these so called 4dr coupes. And it's not even close. Touch that CLA inside and out and you'll see that this is MB's way to get people into the brand. It's like back when everyone was getting low end 3-Series sedans just to say they had a BMW.

Im not going to lie I don't think you read what you quoted clearly because they aren't matching up. I didn't compare these cars at all

Further research since i upped this thread lead me to think you all are right. This cla is lipstick on a pig....

The car is not bad at all, and you guys act like this is the first time Mercedes has done this to get people into the brand for cheap. I'd rather get this than an Altima, Camry, or Accord.

agreed 100%; and its better than their previous entry level cars IMO. I will likely look at a 2yr old CLS instead when the time comes but I don't really need a new car right now
