Above the fray.

Clarified his comment. Didn't pay attention to this story when it came out, but like his clarified comments.
Crowd paid to see a show, they don't owe the artist anything.

Mentioned a few times over the years that I never into the group Little Brother because in an old print interview in XXL, they were copping pleas for bombing on stage. At an important hip event featuring different acts.

Interviewer asked them about the show, and dude said something along the lines of "they should have cheered because we're not talking about x,y,z in our raps" Instead of just taking the L, and learning to read and perform before every type of crowd..he blamed the fans for not cheering.

When I first saw the headline of Beth's original comments, I thought he was saying the same "participation trophy" shyt. Was startled because he's always been an EXCELLENT performer, and he does features with young artists that the crowd would definitely know.
Glad he clarified.

simple solution is to make 2 different summer jams. One for the trap crowd and one for the hip hop crowd. Have them on the same day, These group of artists for the 40 and above perform the first half of the show earlier and the trap crowd get the late show. In that way, the promoters can make more money with 2 shows in one day. Those that want to attend both shows(not likely many people other than 50 year old men with big bellies walking around in skinny jeans trying to impress 20 year old girls) can get a special price on tickets for both.
