Summer Jam been struggling to sell tickets in general.

It's crazy how Ebro and Rosenberg singlehandedly turned Hot 97 to irrelevancy, yet the station still won't fire them.

They've already had to downsize to an arena because it couldn't sell out MetLife. The lineups get worse and worse. They get maybe one big name, a legacy act, some locals with a song here and there (and that used to be the festival stage) and of course the reggae acts. Now it's no different than the shyt Power 105 does at Barclays, the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball.

Rolling Loud really did replace this.

Then again, if you look at the charts, it almost shouldn't be surprising. Remove the whole Kendrick /Drake /J. Cole /Future shenanigans and NOTHING has happened so far and summer hasn't even officially started.

These radio hip-hop fest lineups have fallen off. I remember going to 107.5 Big Jam in 2K15/17

Performers between both years were: Kendrick, Future, Chris Brown, Lil Uzi, HER, Playboi Carti, Rick Ross, Meek, Rae Sremmurd, Lil Durk, Monica, Twista, etc.

2022/2023 lineups: Moneybagg Yo, GloRilla, Nardo Wick, Saucy Santana, G Herbo, Sexxy Red, NLE Choppa, City Girls, etc.


That shyt is night and day

The only good ones were literally the old school artists

30th anniversary, I woulda pulled out all the stops like it's Wrestlemania.


You can tell Hot97 doesn't plan that shyt out longer than maybe 4-5 months ahead of time. Any big annual gathering starts being planned the day after the previous event took place.

Hot 97 used to be very relevant. It was the premier station in hip hop.
The Breakfast Club is still very relevant. Hot 97's interviews get no views anymore.
