I'm a MGS fan, I have played and beat every game except Twin Snakes & Peace Walker. I loved MGS V Ground Zeroes :noah:

I must have ran it back at least 10 times in 2 days so naturally I'm fiending for The Phantom Pain :dame:
The hospital opening is :whoo:and :ohlawd: but I'm very concerned about what I'm playing right now.

- WTF is this mission sh*t? What happened to the game story structure with the 2hr cut scenes? The ranking should come at the end of the game :birdman:
- I'm not feeling this mother base and fulton parachute sh*t :camby:He shouldn't be parachuting the opps. The items and inventory should be what you find and keep on you. It makes you want to explore every section of the game.

- I'm not feeling this horse sh*t :camby: My guy Snake is a legendary stealth soldier. Let him sneak into the next location.

- The game is feeling more like an open world than linear :snoop:

- The story so far is taking place in the middle east and it feels so dull. I miss the jungles of South America and the freezing winter in Eastern Europe :snoop:

- Where's the evasion and alert clock?

How much longer do i have to be in the middle east? it's visually unpleasing. I hope it turns around but I'm disappointed so far :to:

SNAKEEEEEEEEEEEEE :damn::damn::damn:

:pacspit:
:francis: You shoulda played peacewalker.. MGS5 is basically its sequal... You would understand certain things like motherbase and why you're parachuting the opps outa there as well as a lot of the story

OP, word of advice: get off the train now cause you’re gonna get big mad at the mid point.

Hell this gif describes MGSV perfectly.

This gif is pretty accurate. The opening hour was great the game play was great you get to the 2nd act things get a bit dull if I recall correct thats when finally catch up with Quiet and the little kid I forget his name next thing you know the game is over and the rest of the story is never concluded and the real ending is on youtube in story board format and unfinished drawings? LMAO I was salty at that shyt. The ending we did get was some bullshyt I quit after that. I tried going back to finish a couple of missions for complete the mission list but can never get into the game again.

Yeah peacewalker is the direct prequel to MGS5 but ultimately you didn't need to play it because MGS5 doesn't really mean that much in the grand scheme of things anyway in the grand MGS plot.

All MGS5 does is explain why a certain character appears in MGS4 even though they should've been dead.

Game would have been a lot better as a linear open level designed game like snake eater.

This series had no business going I open world.

Nah.. The open world in 5 was the best part ablut the series giving you tbe option to approach a situation in multiple ways.. Game wpulda been a been a masterpiece had Kojima been given mpre time to complete the story portion..

The game was still designed as a mission based game. Most times you had to go back through an entire process of running back to your helicopter, loading from the zone, being in your helicopter and selecting the next mission.

The open world was redundant and didnt add anything to the game. It was still a mission based game

MGSV is the best game of last gen, only rivaled by BOTW in terms of varied gameplay. If you need a game to force you to use another strategy or have no imagination then this game may seem repetitive to you.

I played Peace Walker right after i beat 4 but bushed it after some of the missions where repetitive (having to go against a tank :hhh:) and the cutscenes being cartoon drawings :scust:. Didn't really seem like a MGS game. I did like the improved CQC tho.

LOL it was open world because the size and scale of most of the missions required it to be open world.. They wanted you to be able to approach a mission however you saw fit.. If you wanted to go riding straight in guns blazing you could do that.. If you wanted to be stealth you could ride to the top of clip zoom down and scope out where all the enemys are and pick them off how you see fit and complete the mission quietly.. The open world gives you the freedom to do this...

Peacewalker was PSP port so yea the graphics n gameplay were pretty trash.. I only copped for the story since it was the direct sequal to MSG3

You a can achieve the same thing through unconnected zones. Everything inbetween the bases in MGSV was empty and mindless.

Yep, the second act of the game is just previous missions repeated on hard mode and the last mission is the prologue all over again with a single difference.

There was a entire 3rd act cut from the final game, including the final boss because Konami wanted Kojima to get the fukk out.
Oh wow ..definitely not finishing this shyt then

finished every main mgs game besides this joint

had this since 2015 and still ain’t beat it

I’m going just google the ending

That’s what I did. Once i saw the second act was just a repeat of missions without all the stuff i worked on getting throughout the game i bushed it and watched the rest on youtube. It’s a shame cause there were some cool cutscenes and set pieces but the gameplay just took a nosedive.

Everything with Liquid ended up on the cutting room floor.
