They should've never fired Randy Shannon whenever they did. Just like the 30 for 30 documentary was saying, he was still in the process of cleaning up the program & got a raw deal. Oh well, glad he's on our coaching staff bringing in those Miami recruits like Antonio Callaway :ahh:
had Teddy Bridgewater coming in before he got fired. he might till be coach if they gave him one more year :patrice:

As crazy as it sounds, Butch Davis would make an instant impact & create buzz immediately. Already knows the land of recruits & his only commitment is being successful. He'd have to hire the right OC, but it's so crazy the shyt might actually work. :yeshrug:

it only sounds crazy to some of the folks in the administration, to anyone with common sense, Butch Davis is the no-brainer answer

ask FSU and other rival teams what realistic head coaching opportunities would scare them the most...bet you they would say Butch, Herman or Fuente

not no fukking Schiano or Cristobal

Think Lane Kiffin would be a good fit. Can recruit and has some swag to him. I grew up a Cane fn and my pops is die hard. The program has a ton of problems but a coach that embraces the swag is a must. Doubt he administration will go that route though

Just saw on the tv ticker on ESPN that Butch Davis has said he's love to be considered for the job.

Herman makes his team watch The U 30 for 30. I want him or Butch followed by Fuente.

Been reading quite a bit lately about the Canes needing a new stadium.

They're going to have to address this sooner or later.
Although given the Miami Marlins stadium disaster, it's hard to think anything involving tax payers will get much consideration.

Lane Kiffin has a horrible record as a HC. He was putting up 7-5 and 8-5 seasons at USC with teams that had a talent advantage 95% of the time.

What does "swag" mean when nobody is scared to play you? University of Miami culture needs to cut this idea out that we "need" a certain attitude - what we need is GOOD FOOTBALL: a good coach that knows how to run a program and simply win games again. Take care of winning, and the "swag" or whatever other shyt people want to see will come.

You gotta understand that certain "franchises" have an identity.

UM's identity is (for better or worse) an arrogance that feeds into their performance on the field.
Maybe talent feeds the arrogance. And maybe arrogance feeds the talent.

Who knows?
But I wouldn't dismiss its importance to Miami.
