spo's been called mediocre for years, even after they won a ring...and it's true, although he has gotten better, he isn't really that good. and when he's up against a goat-level coach, he really looks bad.
there might be some truth to the whole riley angle. maybe they're trying to keep it in the fam over there.
they're a great team regardless of how spo is coaching though. so right now, he's not their biggest problem - it's lebron timidness (especially with his jumper) and their defense.
anyone that knows anything knew that the spurs would be a problem on that end because of tony parker's penetration and the whole team's ball movement...and miami's getting killed both ways. no one's on miami is gonna stop the frenchman but they're not rotating and moving well. that scrambling defensive style they play isn't as quick or sharp as it needs (or used) to be. that's a big reason why guys like danny green and gary neal are killing from range. they're obviously on fire but they're getting a lot of good looks too.
there's a reason a lot of people thought the spurs were a terrible match-up for the heat...and we're seeing why.
