That said I do not believe Micah was worth that deal and this is good for the Cowboys. Especially if they hit on those 2 1st rounders.
Which lets us know they are in a soft rebuild.

I didn't understand all the Arch discussion being brought up. Cowboys still have a good offense and there are several teams that are worst or probably on par with the Cowboys (Browns, Saints, Panthers, Jets, Raiders, Colts, Giants just to name a few) that will have them outside of the top 5 of the draft. And if Arch actually ends up as good as the hype, no top 2 team in the draft is going to take multiple 1st round picks to give up drafting a QB of that caliber on a rookie deal.

They have one decent CB, a bunch of worthless receivers, a QB who won't stop throwing off his back foot, and an interior d-line that can be run all over. I don't think it's crazy to suggest they won't be that good this season. And I know this post will be waived in my face next week if we get whooped but I feel confident as a Lions fan.

They traded Micah to the Packers who eliminated them in the playoffs and are direct competition to them getting a playoff spot because it's the same conference. This is just as bad as The GMen not paying Saquon and he ended up on the Eagles in the same division. Also the first round picks aren't a lock to become good. We already know Micah is good. So basically Dallas just traded Micah straight up for Kenny Clark. This wasn't Hershel Walker situation where the Cowboys got 10 picks for that. This was Jerry saying nobody is bigger on the Cowboys than me now get to packin Micah, SMH.

Didnt Dak just sign a deal for a quadrillion dollars? He aint go nowhere any time soon and they damn sure aint bout to pay him like that to be a backup and Arch aint bout to wait it out.

Also I dont think they will be THAT bad. That offense should be really good and enough to carry them to 8-10 wins and contention for a playoff spot late in the season. And they should be able to stop the run now .

Does he not understand GB is almost certainly going to make the playoffs, meaning those picks will be in the 20s? Not saying you can't get really good players there but odds are you aren't getting an immediate Pro Bowl caliber player to help you win now (in 2026).

Cowboys are going to suck...so THEIR pick will be high anyway.

The Packers picks are just extra. The offense will be "decent." Defense will be so bad that Dak will always play from behind. Zero pressure = big stats from Dak/CeeDee/Pickens...but losing a lot of games.

It's a soft tank. Not saying the plan will actually work.....but that's what Boy Genius (Stephen Jones) is probably trying to do.

Which is exactly why you trade Micah.

The mistake was Dak. If they had signed him early, he'd cost a lot less and shyt would make sense. Jerry/Stephen waited so they ended up paying Rayne Dakota a lot more $$$$$.

If they're not good enough to even win the division with Micah.....

If Micah always disappears against good teams like Philly......

The only issue is they probably could have gotten more for him.
