I didn't understand all the Arch discussion being brought up. Cowboys still have a good offense and there are several teams that are worst or probably on par with the Cowboys (Browns, Saints, Panthers, Jets, Raiders, Colts, Giants just to name a few) that will have them outside of the top 5 of the draft. And if Arch actually ends up as good as the hype, no top 2 team in the draft is going to take multiple 1st round picks to give up drafting a QB of that caliber on a rookie deal.
because we are so tired of Dak

I know the Cowboys are looking at Arch prolly in a year or 2, but if they don't bottom out, what would a trade even look like to jump up to grab a generational prospect?

2 1sts the year he comes out + another 2 on top of that?

And why would the team that needs the QB, pass on him. Definitely see the colts having a good shot at him the next 2 seasons with Danny Dimes at QB :scust:

If Arch is as good as advertised, no team is gonna trade that number 1 pick.

The Cowboys will be a one-dimensional team that will struggle to run the football with a QB who has played one full season in the last five seasons. They had a good offense in 2021 and 2023. Not so much in 2022 and 2024 even before Dak went down. Dak is on the last years of his prime and he is often injured.

So there was no AFC team really offering anything?

Didnt Dak just sign a deal for a quadrillion dollars? He aint go nowhere any time soon and they damn sure aint bout to pay him like that to be a backup and Arch aint bout to wait it out.

Also I dont think they will be THAT bad. That offense should be really good and enough to carry them to 8-10 wins and contention for a playoff spot late in the season. And

they should be able to stop the run now :mjlol:.

They traded Micah to the Packers who eliminated them in the playoffs and are direct competition to them getting a playoff spot because it's the same conference. This is just as bad as The GMen not paying Saquon and he ended up on the Eagles in the same division. Also the first round picks aren't a lock to become good. We already know Micah is good. So basically Dallas just traded Micah straight up for Kenny Clark. This wasn't Hershel Walker situation where the Cowboys got 10 picks for that. This was Jerry saying nobody is bigger on the Cowboys than me now get to packin Micah, SMH.
I have brought this point up numerous times on here. Funny how people are now getting it. There's a reason why the Cowboys do not sign actual coaches that have potential, and why you hire yes men like Garrett and McCarthy. There is a reason why you keep the players that toe the line and kick the ones to the curb that have the potential to be the face of the franchise. There is a reason why the Cowboys haven't drafted a first-round QB since 1989. Because if a good one becomes elite, he will automatically be the face of that franchise. Jerry can't have that. Jerry would never have Peyton or Brady on the team. Jerry wants sole credit for the success of this franchise. He admitted this. Or Bill Bellicek or Andy Reid as coaches. It's why I didn't take the people saying Prime or Bill succeeding McCarthy Because any success on the field and they will get the credit and/or become the face of the franchise if they are truly contenders. That's why I don't think even if we have the chance, and if Arch is as advertised, he would come to Dallas. Arch would immediately become the face of that franchise the moment he walks through that door, and become even more of the face if he actually wins. Jerry will see him as a threat to his status and become uncomfortable. Jerry knows he is the problem. But he doesn't care.
