Carousel and Hot Street should have been album cuts. Both songs hold up better than The Girl is Mine IMO.

Shout out to YMO for their collab with Mike on Behind the Mask.

I would’ve took off The Girl is Mine. Good song, but easily my least favorite on that album. Funny thing is The Girl is Mine was the lead single, and it didn’t do so well. I think Billie Jean was next, and then the rest was history,

I have the version of this song without paul mccartney where mike does the entire song. but it's still way too cheesy for my taste.

both of the mccartney/jackson collabo songs were kinda corny tho.

I didn’t even know he had a solo version of TGIM :ohhh:

Paul McCartney has a version of Girlfriend. It doesn’t compare to Mike’s but I remember years ago reading the YouTube comments, white folks were all saying they preferred Paul’s version :mjlol:

Not unreleased, but I’ll never get over the fact this song exists. There was such a short window of time that this collaboration could have happened. 2 of the true GOATs on one track.

ohhhh it’s funny you say that. Stardom 80’s Paul was just boring. I mean the uptempo say say collab and that music video concept and that chorus :blessed:

But Girl is mine - you look at the tracklist
and i don’t know anyone who wants to reference the song.

I think Quincy likely didn’t like it and fought for another song but as soon as Paul made his appearance - it was over and it was on the album

just the hook alone i run for the skip button. Paul had to pretend to like this while Mike figured out how to take all Beatles masters one of the biggest flex in history. Snatched the Beatles soul and probably sang Come Together to make Paul salty. :mjlol:

But no one i knew said play girl is mine. :ufdup:No one would ever say that. In fact, i think if someone deleted it off streaming platforms no one would cry and it would be forgotten.

Survival of the fittest
He bugging for not releasing those songs, they fire
You gotta remember back in them days the main format for albums was vinyl, and you could only fit 40 minutes of music at most on the record. So they did like 30 tracks for Thriller and then had to finalize it to nine songs. Some dope stuff just had to be left off. Then it was the same for Bad.

MJ recorded a lot of dope stuff in the 80's and early 90's that still ain't come out. Thriller 40th Anniversary is gonna have some of it, but for some reason Hot Street isn't one
