Why would Dre do that for a Kokane song? Ruthless wasn't even his label.

If Mike asked for 6 beats he wanted to work with Dre. It would be on Dre to counter offer to produce for Mike if there's an opportunity for him to keep some of his publishing credits.

It's why I'm kind of dumbfounded as to how Dre working with MJ would've guaranteed him GOAT status. Teddy created classics with MJ and people STILL sleep on him as a producer. Rodney Jerkins has songs with Mike and he's more disrespected than respected as a producer.

I got love for Dre but Teddy would WASH that motherfukka in a battle. Disagree if you want but lazy ass Dre has sharked so much old records in the name of G Funk (which the game appreciated).

But looking back, he didn’t even bother to chop the damn samples up most of the time. And it sure helped that DOC, Daz, RBX, Snoop and Ricky Rouse were around to constantly cook up some heat.

Teddy created a whole damn genre with hit after hit, no sampling and careers got built off of it. Teddy was wayyyyyyyy more consistent and hit output from the late 80s to mid 90s can probably only be touched by Babyface and Jimmy/Terry.

And Dre can’t fukking write :pachaha:
