This is clearly true now. A few years back, I would say in a heartbeat, "Kobe is better."
The divide between them is too great now, however. It's just not even close at this point. Jordan definitely realizes LeBron might be the greatest overall talent the sport has ever seen, and now that's he is finally refining his fundamentals, he could literally be the perfect mold of supreme fundamentals and supreme athleticism.
In MJ's eyes, Kobe truly is a clone of himself, and in a way I'm sure MJ takes comfort knowing he is basically a version of him who will never jump him accomplishment wise, but LeBron has the opportunity to truly pave his own legacy that very well might be better than both.
