He'll force himself to be available for ten games a year like Nash did with the Lakers.
The extension never made sense because they could have matched any offers after the season. There's no rush with these guys coming off rookie deals because they're all restricted free agents. Same reason it's silly for people to be up in arms about Ayton not getting an extension with the Suns. If they don't want him to leave, he isn't going anywhere.
Guys like Luka are no-brainers. Most of the league falls into the wait-and-see category when they're asking for a max.

My issue moreso is that they cashed out bridges and that guard. They could of matched them also.
They knew his injury history from not only him but his entire family tree.

Ehhh his families injury history mainly consisted of ACL injuries and not the back. Even then, his back was the reason why they were able to grab him as late in the lottery as they did.

All they had to do was let him go to restricted free agency. Instead, they maxed him for no reason and are about to waste Jokic's prime.
