Denver is very much different from that upcoming team they had. Porter now signed to a max and having medical issues. Jamal also out. They lost to a crappy Orlando team. Also missing from that really balanced and deep roster they had two years ago .. no more malik Beasley, Gary Harris, Torrey Craig, jerami grant, Paul Millsap and Mason plumlee. They shut the window on themselves with these injuries and players who walked or were traded.

Only problem with that premise is that Malk Beasley isn't that good, Garry Harris always injured which is why they traded him for Gordon, Torrey Craig isn't good either, Grant wanted out and turned down the offer Denver was willing to match, Millsap is old and Plumlee isn't that good either.

For whatever reason, Malone wants no part of giving Bol Bol to see what they actually have in him. It's exactly what happens when your timeline is accelerated and you don't have the time to do proper player development anymore. All contenders run into this situation for the most part.

Denver is the only team that can offer him the supermax contract, so he'd better served taking the money and then forcing his way out a few years into the contract. It's the exact reason why Beal has stayed in Washington as long as he has as he wants the 10 years of service and the supermax contract that only Washington can offer him.

Didn’t I just say Denver can offer him the super max and if he signs with another team for one year and reup that other team can offer him a max contract.. Supermax is different than a max contract to the tune a 80 mill difference

Why when we are the number two team in the east currently :gucci:

Because his trade value is at its peak and his talent as a #1 isn’t enough to make up for how much giving him the supermax will limit roster depth.

Your argument still makes no sense though :mjlol:

Why would he turn down the supermax and play out the one year when he could just take the money and force his way out a year into the contract? Denver will not have a problem trading his contract if it comes down to it just like Milwaukee won't either if Giannis wants out. As I said, it'd be stupid to turn down that type of money and taking the gamble teams have shown that a supermax contract doesn't matter if they want to trade for you.

Dude no one saying he will turn down a super max Jesus Christ…. But say if he does the it clearly shows he ain’t trying to go in the same direction Denver is going.. Now if he takes the supermax he can’t force his way out because Denver is not going to oblige his request unless they get a kings ransom in return.. He will be stuck there unless maybe 3-4 years into that contract

This isn't a Philly and Ben Simmons situation though and not even close :mjlol:

If Jokic ever demands that he wants out same as Giannis, they are going to get a kings random from DAY ONE. Every team in the league would put in the call even if they know they don't have the assets to get them.

Those two players do not have the same flaws as Simmons that would make teams hesitant to want to give up the assets to get him. They have wayyyyyy more value than Simmons and even you know that. Don't let the Simmons situation fool you into thinking that other superstar players in the league will be hard to move because it's not the case at all.

Unless a team has a shyt load of first round picks Denver will never get back the same value.. only team hoarding first round pics is OKC and Jokic ain’t going there

When has a team ever gotten back the same value for trading their star player breh? Serious question.

First round picks are useless as the team the star player gets traded to isn't going to be bad enough for those picks to become lottery picks. Pick swaps are useless as well if we're keeping it 100% about it as well.

It just makes no sense for these dudes to leave that type of money on the table when teams like the Lakers and Phoenix have shown that they'll scrap up the assets to trade for a supermax contract if they really want said player.

Yeah it makes no sense for him, but for the Wizards it's always better to trade a player before he demands a trade.
