Gotta milk shyt huh......

they gonna cut the first part off after the Pepsi incident? :skip:

Depending on how the film is structured and how much of Michael’s early life is featured it might do well enough to cut it at the Jackson’s leaving Motown for Epic.

The Pepsi incident might be too much of a cliffhanger for audiences and this being an awards season hopeful.

Can’t cover this guy in a single film.

You either make it a 4 season/10 episode deal on streaming or leave it alone.
Gonna be trash,

They always make this mistake with bio flicks. Wanna cover the persons entire life instead of the most important/unique aspects of his life.
We don't need to see michael being born all the way to his death. Some parts of peoples lives (even famous people) is just normal boring shyt like anyone else's.

Bio flicks are always better when they just stick to most interesting era in their life. They should just stick to the thriller era, and make a perfect film about that. you cut off the crust and focus on sliver of the best part. Think of a movie like Lincoln, we didn't need to see him growing up on a farm and deciding he might run for president one day.

If you want to do his whole life, make a miniseries instead of film. (they already did that)

The Marley film attempted to do that, but they still tried to cover like 6-7 important moments in the movie and it just was too much.

Basically the film’s producers are pushing for a two-part epic film but Universal and potential worldwide distributors only signed on for one film and so far nobody’s seen anything more than 20 minutes of footage. Reshoots are setup for next week to reformat the ending of the proposed first part film due to the original ending not being usable because it focused on Jordan Chandler’s accusations and absolving Michael when a legal agreement exists that states the Chandler case can never be dramatized. The Michael Jackson estate is bankrolling the reshoots and will also be on the hook for any additional scenes filmed for a second film. Producers are trying to get Jaafar Jackson, Nia Long, and Colman Domingo deals for a second film while the screenwriter John Logan is working hard to write the needed additional scenes.

As it stands the movie is nearly 4 hours with an hour and 45 minutes of runtime dedicated to Michael’s performances from the Jackson 5 era to Invincible.
