Nah, I don't fukk with them analytics. In my opinion it's just some shyt to keep those who weren't good enough to actually play the game involved in the game. Also, it's starting to be a way to keep blacks OUT of coaching and head office jobs IMO.
No, there isn't some grand agenda in knowing more data. You're at a disadvantage if you don't have working knowledge of stuff like this. If it wasn't useful, it wouldn't be used. If anything, it's a good way for minorities, whether they played the game or not, to get in the door. It's phasing out a lot of heads who don't wanna move with the timesNah, I don't fukk with them analytics. I'm sayin'.
In my opinion, stats don't mean shyt in basketball or football because the sample size is always too small. 16 games ain't shyt. 82 games ain't shyt. Playing 45-48 minutes per game ain't shyt.
And there's not that many variables/factors in these sports to make any of these ratios worthwhile.
What's with the constant strawmanning by the analytics detractors? I don't know anyone who lives or dies by analytics or who promotes looking at PERs instead of watching games. It's this kind of arrogant bytchmade attitude that a lot of geeks who live/die by analytics have that turns people off. I don't think that anyone hates analytics. People hate feminine attitudes like yours when it comes to analytics. Here we have a story that includes NBA players themselves explaining why they don't live/die by analytics and why that can be problematic, yet that doesn't stop you from running in here being all bytchmade and dismissive.
Neither are accurate/ 100% reliable. It's best to use to combination of both to minimize the MOE.But if it's not a big enough sample size for analytics, how is it a big enough sample size for the eye test?
The eye test is subject to all kind of bias, errors, etc.
He would have been on the 3 point line guarding Bosh?Lol so you are defending that stupid fukking decision?
He could've guarded Bosh. Bosh wouldn't have gotten the rebound with Duncan on the court that's for damn sure

I'm saying that just because Houston hasn't won a title lately has nothing to do with analytics, unless you're saying they would have signed Curry or LeBron or someone like that but analytics convinced them not to.Say what now?
