To keep the price low, they decided this months ago. And truth be told, if you want to do the things the camera can enhance your game with (not require), buy it separately.

From what I can gather, there will be more ps4's available for purchase this Christmas. Both will sell out of how ever many they can manufacture.
That idea just doesn't work. A dev isn't going to spend resorces making an integral part of their game contingent upon a device that most owners won't have.
And no the camera ain't replacing a controller. But a camera/mic is replacing remote controls. Automatic sign ins/controller switching is replacing manual inputs. And having voice and motion controls within every game will be standard in the future.

XB1 will get outsold worldwide by the PS4 from the jump. MS doesn't have the brand recognition to catch Sony like Sony surpassed the 360 who blew a 9 million lead. US and UK will return to Sony land and MS will jumpstart the gen after this one coming up again by 2017.
MS got lucky because of Sony fukkin up at the beginning of this gen...all those breaks they got aren't happening this time around.
