In simple terms the industry got very bloated and expensive and the number crunchers are now pulling back. On top of the fact that people’s gaming habits are changing.

All the “controversy” and swirling narratives are just console warriors having their last tantrum as we are all ushered into a very different future.

Microsoft knows that it'll be harder for the majority of people and businesses to jump ship to Linux, so they'll continue to take advantage of that until the numbers start going down. While games have been very slowly getting Linux ports, if Apple picks up the pace with supporting Mac gaming, it'll make a difference for those trying to defect from Windows.

Instead you pretend like game pass harmed the industry and Xbox, while xbox sat in third place. Game pass does not have enough pull to sway the markets buying habits as it stands now, and if you feel it does you probably should also feel that the sells that can come from Xbox are significant... So publishers should always be releasing their games there.
