Breh, i'm really trying to wrap my head around grown ass people still being enthralled by "the streetz".

the draw from the streets is from the fact.
as a black man,..
you will always have to revert to that complex to survive in America.
if you get to far away, from the idealogy or braintrust.
America has a way of thrusting you back into it, unwillingly.

I know because I lived it.
I had to re-learn the aspects from a fine tuned standpoint.
as my socialization in corporate America eroded a lot of what I acquired.

like jeezy says..
I forgot more than you will ever learn..
that is poignant,..
as in this life as an American black man.
to move to a different realm of life.
you have to change socialization in the extreme.
so, even if you keep one foot in and one foot out.
you are still at an extreme disadvantage.
to someone who is firmly entrenched.

that is purposeful, and heinously evil brilliance on their part.
as white people also,...used to live.
a one foot in one foot out lifestyle from the depression.

[which is why that scarface vs godfather thread was important.
as it illustrated a guy like don Corleone and clemenza before they were who they were.
yet, they were dressed in a suit and faking like the established.
just to gain access to people.
whom they could steal/take from, and not be fingered as criminals.
it isn't odd for two white guys walking down the street with a rug.
yet, they are white...
so, it was easier for them to navigate a world of crime.
we are black,..even in a suit...youze and i'ze still a nikka.
hopefully, you see this.
that is why hiphop is important, too.
as hiphop defeated the idealogy of dressing up or playing the part.
as there is no need to conform, in that manner.
as you still will never have the cloak.
or white skin to navigate, and/or be perceived as an upstanding piece of society.
as your skin, marks you in an inherent manner.
that far extends past the clothes on your back.]

which is why they knew the importance of disallowing us the same Keynesian theories.
they used to pull themselves up by the bootstraps.

when it came to our bootstrap,...
they gave us a plastic bottle and some string.
then, told us to make a pair of shoes,......
they, did not even allow us the ability to own, have or create a pair of boots, or a boot strap.

also,....

in general, black people need to google key terms.
that are disallowed from us.

these terms are:

Keynesian theories
narcissism
general rule/exception to the rule
facts

you can do a lot of damage by knowing just what those things are, as a blackman.

when, you learn what they are.
you will see what they don't want to be seen.

good. music i can relate to. i dont fukkin kill people and sell coke :stopitslime:

rap used to have the cautionary tale installed into it.
after the death of cowboy.
including the death of funky four plus one's, and double trouble's emcee.
that gave or took responsibility.
in late 1991, the government invested into the prison economy system.
which also, vested interest in rap music.
using gangsta rap as a catalyst.
to pull gangsta rap out of the cautionary tale label.
into the realm of the first person label.

that change is what further expanded the destructive properties/idealogy and lack of culture.
we as black people were on the fast track to creating culturally.

the government eliminated the idea of rap being the pre-emptive tale.
to fully marketing and investing into rap music.
that dealt with the ideals.
rap had steered away from after the death of the furious five's cowboy.
once, they used capitalism and its lure.
to take rap from the pre-emptive cautionary tale.
into a music based solely on the first person take, with no responsibility for content.
that is what created the dissention of numerous groups of blacks.
plus, created mass profitability into the prison economy complex.

That is pretty much true of rap back then. Glorify crime and act like prison was college for people who want to be down with "the streets"

:salute:

This is why I look at many of the oldheads like :usure: when they say that have Hip Hop's best interests at heart when they used that gangsta shyt for their own selfish goals.

Kendrick Lamar is the current poster child/messiah of rap because of his debut album about his life experiences in the hood.
There's always gonna be a few exceptions to every rule, which unfortunately for us is not a good thing bc LPs like that are few & far between......even more so as a mainstream debut.

I can't believe this nikka said nikkas in the hood aren't broke anymore...what country do you live in? nikkas are STARVING and broke as fukk right now. There's no jobs, hustling drugs isn't what it used to be, so nikkas gotta find other side hustles (CC scams, bank scams, hustle shirts, dvds, haircuts, whatever) just to get by.

You nikkas stay exposing yourselves.

If so, how are you on a computer right now?
nikka what the fukk are you talking about? What in the world does that have to do with anything?

I don't live in the Hood anymore, I'm personally okay. But I know PLENTY of people doing TERRIBLE. My cousins and uncles can't even afford to put food on the table or pay their rent.

it is no mystery.
why all the talent in rap in that time.
to even now...
all were primarily gangsta rap groups.
all built off the idealogy of the ice cube dead homies style track being on every record.
on top of the pr purposeful attack of people who offered duality like krs.

it became the guy who said,..

where I am from,..
if you are soft you're lost....

was made into the undesireable and attacked personality.
as his duality was attacked and made a mockery of.
plus, any cautionary tale based rapper, or rapper who offered a cultural aspect.
to go along with a possible street oriented message.

meaning a guy like g rap, was even negatively looked at, in general.
all because he symbolized the duality of the mecca of hiphop.
by being a technical marvel, and wordsmith.
so, the government attacked anything or anyone.
through and by any means, to demean any culturally associated artist.
who could offer clarity.

so a record like the edge of sanity,..
was not generally recognized by the new age rap fan, they narcissistically tampered with and created.
when, a record like that offered distinct content to help.

on top of the systematic attack of hiphop's mecca, NEW YORK.
into an utter wasteland of confusion.
at such an extreme point of no return.
using capitalism and personalities who have never operated in the culture's or the mecca's best interest as well.
