Basically, it was time for me to leave and she wanted me to get carts. It's pitch black outside and I did what I was suppose to. The anger been building up for months. So, I say my piece and she says I have an attitude. Then, I said, "I came here when I wasn't suppose to come in". They call me on the day of to come sometimes and I do it trying to be professional.

not trying to say you right or wrong breh (cause i don't know the whole situation) but did you tell her you couldn't cause your shift is up or did you confront her right after she asked you if you could do it?

Managers shouldn't get off the hook for creating a hostile work environment doesn't matter if you're sweep the floors or ridding on the back of a trash truck. Stop trying to push this idea that people in unskilled positions don't deserve a basic level of respect on the job.

I worked 5 years in Publix 99'-04...That shyt was pure hell bro, I hung in there for the 401k and stock and it was paying for my college...Bagging groceries and being a stock clerk is the bottom of the totem pole in grocery stores and you'll always end up in some shyt...Those two areas stick you in the middle of the fukkery as far as gossip and bullshyt goes. If you're gonna stick it out, try to move to areas like bakery, produce or frozen department. You're more then likely to be on your own in produce and the frozen sections aside from the department manager.

Publix has a 401(k) retirement policy where they match every dollar you put in out of your paychecks. You put in $1 for retirement plan they match, put in $100 and they match.

P.S. I'm the guy who always gets his work done. No matter what I do it's still drama that up-rises.

You got to lay down your law where you work asap. Draw your lines in the sand before stuff like this happens. This is something you learn from experience.

Internalize your authority and never lose your cool. A calm attitude denotes a certain condescension that earns respect from those that matter and genuflects the others.
