Looked at a playthrough myself, it's really just perfectly average. It's functional, does what it set out to do, it's just the bland stage design, music, and some questionable graphical choices that bring it down. The voice acting gets old really quick and the dash mechanic isn't terrible but works better on paper than executed in the game.
One of the backers for the game wrote his name "Kamiya as was right"The game has nearly 4 hour long end credits because they had to include the 70,000+ Kickstarter supporters.
And word is the average playthrough for the game is around three hours, which means the end credits last longer than the game.
It was a victim of hype. People placed too much hope on a midtier indie game as if it would reinvent this style of game when all it really did was present another take on it.

I did enjoy Euyine Chronicles, hoping for a sequel.
There were a few bangers we got out of Kickstarters (Hollow Knight, Bloodstained), but quality was all over the place. Kickstarters ended up unintentionally rewarding people who waited things out on the bench.
I ate well off Kickstarter. Got in early on "Bloodstained", "Divinity: Original Sin 2", "Battlechasers", "Moonlighter", etc. Plus funded a few books.
