i dont see how melo couldnt play for dantoni. if youre an offensive player you would think you would thrive under him.

Not for ball stopping players like Melo. It took James Harden to spread the ball around to thrive

All three (Melo, Lin, D'Antoni) are at fault honestly. They should have worked it all out during the offseason. That's what teams who have a core tend to do.

Period.
Melo and lin never even had a issue
It was the ppl around them that kinda wanted them to have an issue
I put that on dantoni
Once he doesn't like you, he goes out of his way to put you into uncomfortable positions.

He benched Marbury for Chris fukkin duhon just because he liked duhon better as a person
He had pau gasol coming off the bench and shooting corner threes
He wanted amare to come off the bench for lin's sake
He wanted melo to be a decoy for lin

If he put this much energy into giving a honest effort with the players he has with no agendas, he'd be a much better coach and person

The thing is I feel like Lin and Melo could have talked that out and brought it to D'Antoni. Everyone could have learned to temper their egos.

In the end, I can't blame any of them honestly, they're reasonings were all valid to an extent. But if they chose to come together in spite of it it could have worked out to be something more remarkable.

I can't blame Melo 100% because dude was the star player who was under the impression the team would be built around him.
I can't blame Lin 100% because dude was young and a lot of fame was coming his way.
I can't blame D'Antoni 100% because dude had a system that has seen strong play-off runs.

If they all just got out of their head, they could have gelled together pretty well because a lot of their weaknesses on and off the court were the others' strengths. The thing that did them all in though was they all had an ego at the time, which was the major common weakness.

Kerr is meh

I've seen better aau coaches
When Laker stans have their heads so far up their asses that they trash Steve Kerr in a thread about Mike D'antoni...when their own head coach is part of Kerr's coaching tree and gave them the best start of the Laker's season since Kobe left...

He changed the game of basketball with 3-point guards and using PFs at center. He was rewarded for his coaching ingenuity with winning the most games in a season in NBA history.

2017 is the year of receipts, fukking name the AAU you coaches that you think are supposedly better, so we can all laugh at you.
