I fukk with Mike Epps and he makes some very good points but I do think there is some jealousy from him and probably a lot of other comedians (white and black) and it's understandable from the standpoint that Kevin Hart is nowhere near as funny as the hype he gets.

If you think about it he has no stand up specials that could be considered classic like Eddie, Rock and Chapelle and he's become a superstar while being basically an average comic.

Seriously Funny and Laugh at My Pain were both hilarious. It will take another 10-15 years for people to start calling them classic. He's too mainstream and too new of a comedian for that nostalgia driven appreciation to kick in yet. And why are you bringing the classics up anyway? We're talking about Mike Epps here.

Kevin Hart has blown up exponentially since Paper Soliders. He's been type cast though. Almost every movie I've seen of his, he's playing the same character. It's not a knock against him, but it is what is. I think that's a huge part of his success because he plays that role well. I don't think any other comedian could pull it off like he could. Not a huge fan of his work, but I don't knock him.
