You cant get rid of conferences because of time zones, impossible to play a balanced schedule across the league.
If it's all cap space the worst that would happen is teams don't overspend on shyt free agents, because each year they have a chance to sign the next big thing. They not stuck with we have no picks and the we have to take whatever shyt we can get.Elaborate.
we have planes now.You cant get rid of conferences because of time zones, impossible to play a balanced schedule across the league.
Yall are talking about things thats arent a problem. No matter what the schedule is, nothing is going to change GS & Cle from having the most talent, Cleveland ducked their toughest challengers in Chicago and Washington. They would still advance to the finals but it would have been a tougher road, imo.And there's no proper way to divide 82 games between 29 teams unless he's also suggesting a 58 game season.
In 2 years the Dubs will move to a new arena in SF so they'll be spending even more by then to justify itPeople gotta realize the Warriors rise as a powerhouse is a fluke, nobody knew when they underpaid Curry he was going to become a star, nor did they know Dray was going to become a star...The fact they were able to lock in Curry well below market value before he became a star allowed them to max Durant.
In 2 years Warriors will be broken up and the West will go back to being competitive again...
Why would he leave? They can sign the next big thing to go along side of him.5 rookies would eat.
And I'm not sure any team likes the idea of paying big money for a raw rookie, develop them, watch them get better and then leave your team once that deal is up. That sounds like a minor league team to me
Contraction isn't going to help anything either. Same teams will still win regardless. Lakers went to 9 finals from 80 to 92 or something. Bulls went to 6 in the 90's..Contraction shoulda happened 5 yrs ago.
Like the Nuggets.....they not trying to get better or even contending. GET RID OF EM!!
Rookie spending would go like this, the max you can spend to sign rookies is $10 mil and the minimum is $3mil. So if a team has between $3-10 mil in cap space, that's how much they can spend to sign rookies, while a capped out team is allotted $3mil.
Before you say Josh Jackson would just go to LA or NY over small market teams, Josh might be harming his future earnings coming off the bench in LA/NY as opposed to starting Day 1 in Phoenix.

Who on the nuggets is a difference maker? Who on any of the teams you wnat contracted has real franchise changers? You could say AD, but he ain't changed shyt, yet.
Cavs Warriors will be for at least the next few seasons as well
All the new cba has done is made it impossible for another team to form a super team and compete with the Cavs or Warriors
