A dope scenario would've involved Harper joining him in LA, and Ohtani staying healthy in both roles. Angels would've been a fun attraction.

A doper scenario is if Trout would've came home to Philly. He would've reached GOD status off of one World Series title in Philly.

No player on that 02 Angels is revered in LA

Damn, breh. What a waste of beastly talent.

Come back home to the tri-state, holmes. The Yanks will make you a nice home.
I’m sorry is he a tennis player or a boxer :what:

What a horrible thread even for the usual low Coli standards:hhh:

Baseball is funny how we can talk about a player being the GOAT who’s team is constantly trash .

It's crazy you can win an MVP without getting to the playoffs. shyt would never happen in Basketball.

Because in baseball they dont put an irrational load on team accomplishments that overshadows actual individual performance.

That’s A damn lie arod was killed until 2009 and price as well. Kershaw also . trout is great but why are we making up stuff to benefit him ?
Ok, so with respect to ARod and Kershaw and even Barry Bonds...criticisms about postseason success are a media narrative.
I tend to dismiss these because with enough sample size, players will perform in the playoffs nearly identically as they do in the regular season.

And in regards to making stuff up to benefit Trout, what do you mean? What benefits Trout that doesn't also benefit anyone else?

What is there to make up?

He hasn't played enough postseason to question him or his ability "in the clutch". He is a generational talent and one of the greatest ever by every measurable that means something in baseball.

Sample size is important too bc ARod faced what I thought was unjust criticism. With enough games, enough ABs, his #s are on par but again, every single at bat is magnified

Both of them got killed by the press for their bad postseason performances, not because their teams lost games. Price was nearly sonny gray at Yankee stadium levels of bad in the playoffs until last year & from 2005-07 in the playoffs, Rodriguez picked up 1 homer and 2 RBI’s in the playoffs to 15 strikeouts. He had one series where he batted .133 and another at .071 for the series. In 2010 he batted .190 in the ALCS. In 2011 against Detroit he batted .111 for the series. I won’t hold 2012 against him as bad as he was because he had a major hip injury that he shouldn’t have even been playing through, but those are some horrid performances that a player of his caliber shouldn’t put up. Criticism of those is fair. Kershaw has a lot of bad showings in the playoffs too for that matter.
