Angels should've traded him right after Ohtani walked. And of course should've traded Ohtani and gotten a haul for him. They seem to be a mess right now. Dodgers & Lakers are downtown. Clipps, Rams, and Chargers are in Inglewood in new digs. All these teams play in the central heart of the metro, shining in their own right, and increasing their brands while the Angels are still deep down in the catacombs of Orange County with no leadership nor future plans to speak of. Arte Moreno needs to sell the team asap!
That Anthony Rendon signing has been demoralizing too.

Moreno was rumored to possibly be selling years ago and he refused. Wonder if he regrets it now, but I imagine the value of the team is still higher than it would’ve been back then anyway just because of the market.

There's a whole downtown nightlife area planned to be built around the stadium. I think the value will rise and then he will sell.

If he never bas a productive season again, what is his legacy

He’ll still be a HOFer. He was the best position player of the 10s.

First 8 seasons: 3 MVPs, 4x runner up MVP, and 4th place in MVP the other season.

He’ll just be looked upon as a great player whose injuries messed him up, and whose team failed him when he was at the top of his game.

Trout ain't tryna leave.

The bigger issue now is that the teams that woulda tried to pursue him probably don't want him now.

There's a lot of parallels to Ken Griffey Jr.
