The return you'd get trading him (which would be minimal consider his contract and injury history) wouldn't equate to torching the last shred of goodwill Angels fans have toward the organization.
Trout is still a game changing player when he's healthy. And he's the cornerstone for the franchise. Angels still have to sell tickets and give fans a reason to care.
