Let me break it down for ya'll...after my son was circumsized at 12 yrs old (He's Muslim, its done at home) the only thing that let him sleep the pain away for 3 days was Kind Of Blue. Even now, he PRAISES Miles for the tranquil calm of every track...what a Father hey :myman:

Never knew what miles davis looked like. He's ugly as fvck, no wonder he was mad 24/7

back in his heyday he was the epitome of "cool" he had so much style it was ridiculous. women was sweatin him like a mofo. white women especially.

u dont need good looks when you have style + talent + money.

but im a huge miles fan (peep the avi) and yes miles was hip hop before hip hop existed. he had a very hard exterior that people mistook for him being an a$$hole but he was really just an intense person. lol i love watching when after he does his solo sometimes, he'd just walk off the stage and chill by the side smokin a cig listening to the band.

probably my single fav recording artist. and also that autobiography is amazing. i would have loved to have lived up in harlem in the 50's and going to see all the jazz legends perform at some of the best jazz clubs. it seemed like such an interesting time period and culture to be in. all these cats knew each other and would sit in during each others shows and shyt.... monk, miles, bird, dizzy, roach, bud powell, etc etc

i think its also amazing that miles suffered a very serious heroin addiction in the early 50's but fought it and eventually produced some of the most beautiful music that has ever touched my ears

anyway im rambling but yeah miles is that dude

@MrWillyWanker Props on the avi. Agharta is one of my fav albums of any genre. That band was cookin on that album. lol

The critics killed him in the 70s but if you ask me the shyt he was playing and all the tricks in the studio they used were too far beyond a lot of people's grasp....they just didnt get it. Now they do, forty years later. Crazy.
