Coli doctors still trying to guess what CTE even is.
"It doesn't seem like CTE but a mental health issue :jbhmm:"

What's the difference :RussellMartBrook:

These idiots always ask the what if questions and never bother to look for the answer. Why don't these morons look up the answer. They really think theyre the first genius to come up with that conclusion. :mjlol:

Out of the 111 former NFL players brains that were tested for CTE 110 had it. The only player not to have it was a kicker.

Chris Henry died in 2009 he was only 26 and he had severe CTE which was a big reason he died of head trauma.

Everson Griffen is 30 and has played football since he was a kid he probably has CTE

LMAO. Ok then. Give valid reasons why CTE is the lone case for this instead of just being "LOLZ you guyz r dumb!"

Not once did I say he wasn't suffering or that CTE isn't contributing to his current state. I simply said it shouldn't be classified as the be all end all. Good god some of you are so damn try hard sometimes. Ha...

Even if you downplay cte, you can’t downplay TBI on any scale especially repeatedly

Sound like schizophrenia more than anything.

Yup. My cousin was diagnosed with Psychosis a couple years back. He was leaving home in the middle of the night, driving to random places, coming back home at like 6 AM. Sometimes he'd just go to his car at night and sleep in there.

And he also talked about how he'd see people trying to attack him, then he'd blow up in a rage trying to fight them, broke a window with his hands, put a hole in the wall too and then later would come back to reality.

Thankfully, he got to the right doctor who prescribed the right medication and the right dosage. Within a month, he was back to normal.

Mental illness is no joke.

Seriously.

The symptoms of CTE include memory loss, confusion, impaired judgment, impulse control problems, aggression, depression, anxiety, suicidality, parkinsonism, and, eventually, progressive dementia. These symptoms often begin years or even decades after the last brain trauma or end of active athletic involvement.

You know the rate of mental illness in the NFL is probably the same as the human population. I bet it is undiagnosed bipolar disorder.

And he just had a baby too IIRC. Smh shyt sad as hell what football does to these dudes. Sound like he all the way fukked up. Hopefully, the brother gets all the help he needs and gets well soon

CTE is a degenerative brain condition. It’s nothing that you can just get help for and recover from. At best, you can just learn to cope and hopefully have family who will be supportive. If he has it, and he probably does, then it’ll only get worse until it turns into dementia.

That’s the sad part about this to me. These guys make a lot of money, but peace of mind and sanity are priceless.

The CTE topic is interesting to me. The main thing I’m curious about is why you have some guys who just wild out and seemingly lose their sanity and go crazy, but you also have guys like Emmit Smith, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, and Archie Manning who took a lot of punishment and seem fine. I’m sure those guys might have it too, but maybe it manifests differently in different people.
