Number 4 is :scusthov: because your wrong .
Coaches can out coach each other . You think players are just out there freelancing and shyt ? There are a whole bunch of little things coaches have to do that can change the game .. Timeouts , substitutions , plays out of timeouts etc

What I'm saying that coaching outcoaching another NBA coach is never the reason people say a team won or lost.

Has Spoelstra been outcoaching coaches 25 times in a row?

Hell no. The reason I even start formulating this opinion is because of all the blame people were giving to Spoelstra last year during the playoffs before they won the ship.

D'Antoni's system is basically just pick up the pace, spread you out, and run a lot of pick-and-roll. He has things up his sleeve but most of the time it's not comprised of complicated plays.
His biggest problem with his best teams was the fact his ssol provided so many more opportunities for the other team too . It's really hard to be a good defensive when your giving like 15 extra possessions a game ( I might be exaggerating but it was study saying how they did provide more possessions ). His timeout usage and adjustments was horrible though on the Knicks .
Depends on what you consider mid-range. Anything from 10-15 feet SHOULD be equivalent to a layup to any non-big in the NBA. If you're talking 15-20 feet, then those are generally bad shots.
Yea 15-20 is inefficient it's better to put up a three

People thinking that it's worse for a legacy to lose in the Finals than get bounced in the playoffs.:snoop:

My thing is I always thought melo should get some credit for getting to the playoffs every year . Im like if he lost in this second round more would that be better ??the wcf year Karl did a bad job versus the lakers . Niccas couldn't inbound the ball :dwillhuh: Cp3 never even been to the wcf and gets bounced out in ridiculous fashion too .

Eh no he hasn't but that doesn't mean a coach can't out coach another one

My main one is the concept that a championship either makes a guy clutch, makes a guy better than another comparable talent, or excuses selfishness, fatness, bytchassness, or future fukk ups.

Also the concept that guys should display qualities such as aggression, arrogance, "killer" instinct etc. while playing but be able to magically turn them off in real life and be an upstanding citizen.

Guys can get sucked off by everybody from the time they are 8 and should still be expected to be humble and down to earth at 20.

The only thing I don't like is when people use all time legacies when comparing players in the present.

-That "playoff experience" means a god damned thing

-That any player or coach who doesn't have a championship ring is incapable of winning one until they actually win one, then they're suddenly a born champion :what:

-In a championship game, people bring up the championship record between the two teams like it means something even when they haven't faced each other in 30 years

The D (where it's so cold)
that if you dont win a ring your career aint ish

THIS. I was coming in to say this or see if anyone pointed it out, shocked that this was mentioned 3 pages in (or 33 posts in since some of you change your settings), there are plenty of players that rank in the top 10 of all time stats in every major sport without a championship to their credit.

Nah, I've seen stats on this, you were right the first time. A 3 is more efficient than anything from 10-23 feet. The closer you are to the pain the the easier it is to contest your shot so players generally aren't more efficient from 10-15.

A 50% midrange shooter gets 100 pts/fga a 35% 3p shooter gets 105 pts/fga

  • That benchwarmer nba players are NOT GOOD in some way.
The 12th man on an nba roster WILL BEAT YOUR ASS unless you were on that level too.

  • That offensive line is an easy job or something like youre NOT getting DESTROYED everyplay and killing your knees and whatnot too.
