-the Left Tackle is the most important player on the O-Line

Truth is, you can get by with an okay left tackle, the key is to have a good center and offensive guards so you can create a 'pocket' for the QB to step up in if he needs to. Left tackle being one of the highest paid positions:rudy: That LT hit on Theismann got everybody wanting to protect their QB's blindside when, like I said, its pressure up the middle that really fukks up a QB's game.

lets not play dumb. he wasnt just a starting player. he was a top tier SG. you dont go from being top 3 at your position to a washed-up has-been overnight.

the west was considerably weaker in '09 in comparison to '07 & '08. the funny thing is, the west was better in 2010 than it was in 2009 as well, and they failed to win a playoff series that year.

im not dismissing the chauncey trade at all. it was just overblown by the media and its gullable listeners. and they only had the one hot year. when the west stepped it

if you think that the only move the nuggets really made in '09 was the billups trade, then you dont understand basketball.:comeon:

For one AI wasn't a top 3 shooting guard anymore. Kobe Wade and Roy were all better by that point. The West may have been a bit weaker but they still had six 50 win teams so lets not act like it was down that much. Denver beat a decent New Orleans team a good Mavs team then they had a six game series with the eventual champs. But the year before that they couldn't even win a game against the Lakers in the playoffs. Tell me whats the other big moves that Denver made cuz the roster was still pretty much the same.

i didnt say that the west was bad in '09. im saying that it was clearly a step down. they won just 3 more games in with an easier schedule. its not rocket science.

the '08 nuggets squad wouldve knocked those hornets & mavs teams out of the playoffs too!!!!! what part of that dont you comprehend? they had an easier schedule and a better draw in the playoffs.:mindblown:

we went over the roster already. if you dont understand basketball, and intangible things like glue guys, workhorses, and defensive players, then you need to just fallback.

you can make a case for roy. but what would that do? make iverson top 4? wow, youre really driving your point home there buddy.

The 2011 Colts tanked. Thats why the 2012 Colts had such a quick turnaround. Even though they cleaned out the front office, coaching staff, and flipped half the roster.

That SB Rings / Playoff wins are a good way to compare QBs.

That QBs should automatically get a huge boost in perception if they win a SB. Example: all of a sudden people calling Flacco elite.

I wouldnt go as far as calling Flacco elite but, he BALLED out during that playoff run. It wasnt just the SB ring. He outplayed the two GOAT of this generation and in the SB threw for like 300 yds and 3tds.

U might have went over the roster and saw something different but i didnt. And i saw pretty much the same "glue guys, workhorses, and defensive players.. Other than a young Ty Lawson and a young Aaron Affalo i pretty much see the same roster. And i just named 3 off the top of my head who were better than AI. I didnt want to diss him to much by bringing up guys like Manu and Joe Johnson who were better by 09 too. But i love how we keep on beating a :deadhorse: with these debates.

nah. ty lawson won the ncaa chip in '09.

yes, afflack was on there, as well as dahntay jones. thats 2 big-time backcourt defenders right there. then you had workhorses like birdman, and im forgetting somebody else. and gary forbes had that one good year there too. also, the point of the billups trade was to bring in a legitimate starting point guard. they didnt have one when iverson was there.

VERY MUCH A DIFFERENT TEAM. these may not be the sexiest names, but every contender has players like these. the '08 nuggets were built to run dudes off the court when they werent hung over from partying the previous night. but they were also built to run into a brick wall when meeting an elite team in the playoffs. unfortunately for them, they drew the spurs & lakers immediately. 2 teams that nobody in the nba were seeing in those respective years, minus the '08 celtics.

3. That the reason CFB is just as enjoyable to NFL to a lot of people because it doesn't take much skill or athleticism to play football. ( its just a bunch of men running and colliding into each other)

  • That offensive line is an easy job or something like youre NOT getting DESTROYED everyplay and killing your knees and whatnot too.

Interesting....I've never heard of anybody thinking these things.

Anyway, mines is how people try to compare players or teams from different eras (e.g., NFL/NBA/MLB) like one argument is actually PROVABLE against another....and then get indignant about their unprovable positions - like what they're saying is the gospel - when you disagree with them.

Ty was on the 2009-2010 team with Chauncey while Dahntay was not. Dahntay was on the previous years team with AI. Birdman was there both seasons and Arron was there with Chauncey. So basically the Nuggets added Ty and Aaron with Chauncey in place of AI while losing Dantay Jones. And considering Ty was not the player that he is now those two moves are why you say the Nuggets were better instead of giving the true credit to Chauncey. And Gary Forbes was not on their team either till the 2010-2011 season.

Oh u dont see shyt here. I was just letting you know when them players were there. But point blank other then the AI and Chauncey trade the only move they really made was getting Dahntay. And if thats why you think they went further instead of the real reason then more power to u.

3 moves = 3 more wins.:bustback: big whoop.
