while i'm not a particular fan of the south, even Mississippi is a tuuurrrrible representation of the south as a whole.

Misssissippi was always a backwater too Even in the time of slavery, they were the least populated slave state, with most of the region unsettled. It's no surprise they continue to be isolated and over 100 years behind.

yep. You got some places on the come up (Jackson/Ridgeland/Madison/Clinton, Hattiesburg, Southaven, Tupelo), but it's still WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY behind.

Everywhere else is still 3rd world country status.

ESPECIALLY central Mississippi.

It's the worst of the worst. The worst of everything.
