Who cares? And how is that the problem of folks who are majority black blood? That seems like a discussion that biracials and whites need to have, not blacks and biracials.
I don't harbor any resentment towards by biracials, but there's nothing to "convince" me of if they aren't black. In my humble opinion, you need two black parents to have a black child. I don't give white folks the power to dictate who is what and why.
Yes, and 1+1=3.
Willie Lynch wasn't even real. Second, in what way is it the best interest of "full blacks" (however you choose to define that) or dark skin blacks to "embrace" biracials and majority mixed folks as one of thier own? What is their to gain by them?
Then let me be the first--she's not black, she's biracial. Her mother is white and her father is black. How difficult is that to understand?Try disputing that fact. It doesn't take away from who she is, how she grew up or what her musical talents are, but she is NOT black.
According to your logic, technically a blonde haired, blue eyed singer such as Christina Augilera could claim herself as "black" if she simply switched up her music and started acting stereotypically "black" since genetics aren't a prerequisite.
They're both BIRACIAL. Their mothers are white and their father's are black. Why is that so difficult to understand? WHy try to force yourself to believe that they are any one more than the other to make yourself feel comfortable about it?
Of course they would lol. When have black folks ever made sense about this? Everyone knows that the road only travels one way with black folks on this issue. Black folks nearly had a seizer when Tiger Woods announced that he was both black AND Thai. Folks almost freaked the fuk out and some wished nothing but the worse for him.
We all know black folks can be possessive as hell on this issue.
Because in the minds of many, Barack is "black" due to his African ancestry and the fact that he "acts black" (however you choose to define that).
