" Several of the rockers reportedly threatened to walk out to protest the many 'uncool' pop stars on the record. The walkout fizzled out after Bruce Springsteen said, 'I don't care who is here to record this track, I'm here to help save lives."
Not sure how they made it work, but they did.
Too many different vocal styles

Wonder who could have been viewed that way during that time![]()

MJ was VICIOUS in real life. He had major issues but when MJ was in boss mode you couldn't fukk with him.
Donny Osmond came to MJ for advice in the late 80's trying to see how he could make a comeback , he was hoping Mike would write a song for him.
Michael told him "The first thing you have to do is change your name. And never let ANYONE know that you were ever Donny Osmond"
The two never spoke again![]()

I don't think it was MJ. If anything Bruce was trying to put it in perspective for everyone. I read while most of the pop stars/rockers/etc. showed up in chauffeured limos and entourages, Bruce showed up to the studio in his old pickup truck.Springsteen throwing shots at folks?
Could not have been referring to MJ, no way![]()
